B4 no turbo in second gear?

Hi,

My second turbo doesn't seem to be doing anything in second gear, no problem in third so it can't be the turbo?

What are the symptoms that lead you to think this? Does it feel like its got stuff all power after the VOD? So this has just started happening or always been this way?

Do you have a boost gauge?

The symtoms are that when hitting the 5000 rpm range where the second turbo kicks in it just doesn't feel like it does/has done anything and just keeps going needing to change gear (this is in second gear)

I have to admit I did feel it kick today so it maybe it's intermittent. Honestly though it just feels like it does nothing sometimes. There's also a bit of a "falling flat" feeling when it happens as if something isn't right. It's only very recently that it's started doing it, It seemed to be working ok? prior to this except for what I think it was/is kicking in rather late, more like 5500 rpm. I've heard the 2nd's are meant to kick in more between 4500-5000 rpm?

Is it possible it's getting stuck or something sometimes? I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining it but it's looking to be intermittent.

No boost gauge.

Without a boost gauge you're just guessing, no it doesn't get "stuck" as such and certainly isn't gear dependant

Put a gauge on it and see if there's any correlation with the numbers it shows and what you feel
