ECU Swap from manual to auto

I have now found a 2003 GT ECU that was a manual. Can anyone tell me if that one will work safely?

Man I want one of those 818C's so bad.

To be honest though, just sell the car as it is and pick up an EJ207 from a Version 8 STI.

Or even ask NZEFi to do it? They'd charge a token cost to remove and re-flash the ECU but I'd expect they kept your old stock rom on file anyway. It's a 5 min process to plug in and re-write the info, 4:30 of which is waiting for the laptop to turn on
