Turbo selection help for Rs legacy

Hello, not looking for ej15 turbo life lol

Asking for people's opinions on a td06 25g 8cm Kinugawa turbo

I currently have a Rs legacy with v2 Sti ra heads bolted to a ej207 motor from a v7 sti and a 5 injector top manifold with a twisted turbo setup. Currently has a td05h but looking to make so real power 250kw plus and this turbo looks the go but.. There always a but, I'm uncertain what kind of lag I will get and if this turbo is worth the lag, no I don't want it kicking in on limiter, and no I don't want a dyno graph where a 6k revs it takes a 90 degree turn and hits 300kw and limiter is at 7500 rpm. So needing to see what other options I have.

Also if anyone is selling a link G4 plug and play hit me up.

I had a similar turbo but with cams... it was laggy and not a lot of fun around town You won't have any fun and still be legal.

Dont bother with the 25g pointless excersise. I ran a couple of murch hybrid variations based on a td05 and 6 turbine with a gt35 comp which were 20psi at 4k. Bit of fun but 7cm rear. The 25g 8cm would be closer to 4.5-5k 20psi and having no avcs kills spool.

A holset will do perfectly all round but prob nuke your budget and too much potential for what youre after.

So should I look at going custom seriously looking at making weapon bought it for 2.5k dropped engine and my budget is 10k so I have around 5k left in savings for this thing is currently 226kw atw on 20psi

5k wont get you far.

$600 Injectors

$1500 g4/boost solenoid/iat

$200 top feed rails

$3000 turbo/fabrication/gate

$550 cert

$500 fmic/fab

........

$1400 tune

Yea bank accounts growing slowly , it's already got pink injectors and walbro which should do for now

Pinks will take you to 240-250wkw. Could decap them for more headroom which would take you to 300wkw.

That sold. Might make 250wkw if stars lined up. Was a simple td05h full size turbine with kinugawa td06 20g cover and 3rd gen comp. If you want a td05 to make over 250wkw talk to murch.

Nah wanting more then that I like the td05 20g with a gt35r compressor the combo sounds like something I will look into will email Steve murch and see what he can do

Having a 300wkw turbo and making 300wkw out of your setup are 2 very different things.

If you do that you will end up driving a sack of **** around for the next couple years then getting thoroughly sick of it and selling up or regretting the money spent. Been there done that. You need to be happy with it at stage 1 save a heap of money and be prepared to have no car for 3 months to jump straight to stage 4.

Id be a whole lot happier and have saved a heap of money and time if i drove around with my 227wkw vf22 tune for 12 months then built an engine and so forth to drop the holset straight on. But im a stubborn **** and did stuff bit by bit as money allowed which meant i learnt a lot the hard way. Check my build thread its a good learning curve of stuff you shouldnt bother to do. Basically everything between the first 5 and last 5 pages was pissing in the wind.
