Shocks for V7 STI

Hi guys I'm after a direct replacement for my factory struts for my V7 STI, it seems everyone does a replacement for the WRX but excludes the STI?

 

one of my fronts is knocking - any ideas which shock to get - have been told the WRX replacement by KYB will fit but its not quite the same as the sti Struts - if im right I believe the STI struts are inverted?

I have a set of KYB excel-g's

 

The factory shock inserts are upwards of $500 a corner, these are the closest thing.

i know this is a band aid fix.... but its another option... worth pulling them apart and cleaning all the gunked up grease out and re-grease em, even put grease nipples on for next time. I recently got this done on mine and the improvement was amazing. handles and rides so much better. nearly 2000km since it was done and still mint. I went with this option on the fact i didnt want adjustable suspension, nor was i prepared for 500 inserts.

yeah have heard this is an option because all they need is regreasing - am i right? - any directions or posts or links on how to do this?

is this for 4x? and are the good condition? how many kms?

Yep all four. as far as I can tell they have very little milage on them, the struts looked pretty new when I bought the car
