how to remove water marks on windows!!

i remember a while ago on here that people were havin trouble removing the water marks from there windows

well ive been told that using a cutting compound will do the trick! havent tryed it yet but when i get a chance i will give it ago but it looks to have worked on my fathers car!

Yep, Kerosene (or IsoPropyl Alcohol) should do the trick. (Methylated spirits have also been used with some success)

However, if the staining is severe you might need to resort to polishing the glass.

Regular (paint oriented) cutting compounds may be effective, but are not likely to be much help if you're addressing scratches or etching of the glass itself. (as the glass is significantly harder than paint) If you're unlucky enough to be dealing with this, you will need a specialist glass polish, and probably a felt polishing pad to get the necessary level of aggression. OR goto your local jeweller and ask what glass polish they use. The stuff they normally have is very very effective with a slight cut to it. They may even give you some.
