BP5 idling issues

Good Afternoon Guys and Gals

Been a long time lurker, but never really posted anything

I own a bp5 GT Spec B 06 which i love to bits

 

So this afternoon i had to investigate one of the buttons controlling the volume up on the steering wheel.

As i didn't want to take an airbag to the face i disconnected the battery and then proceeded to take the airbag out.

Turns out the rubber piece directly under the buttons the goes onto the receiving board part had cracked and therefore got stuck in.

Well no more up volume on steering control but thats okay.

 

My problem is  not, when i as driving around after re connecting everything is that at the lights sitting in D or N the revs drop to almost stalling (i estimate about maybe 100-150)

I didn't touch anything else in the engine bay apart from the battery etc

What could be causing it ?

is it just that the battery was disconnected? or something more complex

Disconnecting the battery will reset the ECU so it'll take a while to relearn it's idle points. Leave it idling for a while and/or drive it round and it should come right fairly shortly
