bc5 starter motor problems

Hi,i seem to have some issues with my starter motor,most of the time its fine but just in the last couple of days it does one crank then stops and the fan comes on,does anybody know what this means,ive had starter motor problems with my car since ive had it and its annoying,ive changed the starter motor three times,first one would click and not crank,second one started making funny noises and the last one justs cranks once,any help would be greattly appreciated,i have replaced the cable from the batt as well,and the batt is mint

Whats the state of your alternator?

Could be a sign of it failing.

alternator was checked a few weeks ago and was sweet

Check power at the starter when cranking and see if it drops out when it stops cranking.

it mite need a relay to switch the power, i had to get one installed in previous car.

How do u know it is "mint"

has it been load tested

thanks for your help guys but found it was the power cable from the batt, fitted a bad boy and its been minet ever since.
