Weird noises

Well I thought I would ask for your guys opinions first. Note that none of these noises cause any real problem (that I am aware of) I would just like to find out a bit more.

First - When starting the car (cold), when it reaches around 2000ish RPM it makes a sort-of "gurgling" of liquid noise that seems to come from the behind the Air-con Unit, possibly the top mount inter cooler area. As far as I am aware there is no liquid in the inter cooler, so it shouldn't be that? Like I said no issue has really arisen from this, but this could be the start. After about 5-7 seconds it finishes and the noise goes away. Only occasionally you hear the noise (while it is not quite at operating temperature) under braking or turning, but its more of a "shifting of liquid" (i.e. if you swish water around in a bowl) rather than gurgling. These noises all go away after it warms up.

Please no comments about warming up procedure etc

Second - When shifting between 4th-5th or vice versa a very quiet noise can be heard. Its hard to explain over the internet but I think it sounds kind of like the sychomesh isn't quite "lining up". The gearbox feels fine, and all gears are easy to shift into - also oil has been changed recently. Not sure if its a real concern or not but I thought I would mention it.

The gurgling is air in the cooling system stuck in the heater core. The system needs to be bled properly.

check the Power steer pump fluid, they can make real weird noises when low on fluid that transfer through the motor and drive train. Remove the wee filter inside to view the level properly.

Also check the circumference of the tyres, ie, same tyre series/sizes, same PSI and even wear. The AWD subys have to be dam near spot on or the center diff will be under strain and cause vibrations and noises etc

As far as tyres are concerned, they are all same dimensions and PSI, but different brands. The P.O replaced them with secondhand tyres so I have no clue if the wear is un-even because they were more worn to begin with, or whether its got something to do with different brands.

Oh and I also got a brake shudder to sort out . Think I might have to get a mechanic to sort that one out :-\

i would get the circumfrences checked, there really isnt room for error, i had this issue on my 97 STI
