Stolen: 2001 Legacy B4 RS 25

Hey guys,

Just been shopping today at Harvey Norman at Manukau Supa Centre. Come out of the store and my brother's car's gone. All that was left was a bit of the platic windguard from the front driver's window laying on the ground. It was stolen between 4.10pm and 4.40pm. He's gutted.

It's a 2001 Subaru Legacy B4 RS 25 (facelift, nonturbo, 2.5L) silver sedan Rego CZT28. It's got the B4 body kit and spoiler, tinted rear windows, with the BBS 'spiderweb' type mags that were a factory option from Japan.

We reported to the Police within an hour of it being nicked. If you guys spot it, we'd be grateful for any info! I guess at least he has insurance.

Hey. Thanks for the comments. He had a call from the cops today to say it had been found which is a relief. We don't know where exactly but it was still in Manukau.

I haven't seen it yet, but my brother went to the tow yard to check it out. It must been taken for a joy ride and just to get home because it had dirt all over it like they'd been doing burnouts in a park or something. On Sunday the cop said they recover 95% of cars that are stolen in the counties district because most get stolen just for a ride home and then dumped. We thought yeah right, we'll never see it again, but gladly we were wrong!

It stinks of smoke now though and has some minor damage so insurance will have to pay to fix it up. They stole sunglasses and clothes that were in it but strangely left the radar behind??? Go figure.

At least we can laugh about it now...we've been giving him crap about it being a nonturbo and too slow so they didn't want to keep it lol.

It didn't have an alarm so we'll be investigating them. I hear AVS has some pretty good ones. What do you guys recommend?
