ECU help

hey all i have just bouhght a v6 sti ecu do i need to change any of the pins over if so which ones

also since i have the ej205 engine do i need to replace the air flow meter???

Plug it in and see what happens I say. You might need to get the AFM. Your car came with yellows etc didnt it?

just found out mine is a 3 plug ecu and ver 6 is 4 plug

and yes i have the yellow injectors

v1/v2 is 4 plug

v3/4 is 3 plug

v5/6 is (new)4 plug

advice is to do a little more research before just plugging in a random trademe ecu

What he meant was to research what is necessary for an ECU swap on your vehicle. Not just if the ECU is what the seller said it was. If yours is 3-plug, you'd be better off getting a V3/4 STI ECU.

yeah dave,you would have to go the same as mine,v3/4 and orange afm.

Am surprised you didnt check the plug layout before buying the one you have

my engine is the phase two

it has the new 3 plug ecu not the same as the v3/4 ecu

therefore i have to re pin the whole lot
