S14 Sylvia Stolen

my mates S14 sylvia got stolen 4.30am from ellerslie. he had a 5 star M80 alarm in it. it was a red sylvia with black top and had a nice aftermarket front kit. he bought it from fast4s Registration DRP464

It was SR20 DET it was mint with 17inch DTM's. i don't understand how a 5star M80 could fail.

So if you guys see it around let me know please..

Alarms wont stop a car from getting stolen it just stops the amature car thieves from taking it.

yeah man. we are all gutted. it was a nice sylvia. only had it for 6 weeks. 11grand jst disappeared. apparently the thieves had been having a look at the sylvia at nights for a couple of weeks. once the alarm went on and mate ran out saw a guy jumping in his car and speeding away. he did'nt get the number plate. now he wish he had.

all you guys be careful. I park my subie and block it with 2 other cars lol. a bit extreme but worth it

Sorry for your mate's loss though. Must be devastating. But I agree with subiv5, if you drive a car that is high performance/very likely to get stolen/people want it, then you've got to have insurance so that you at least recuperate some of the capital you sunk into the vehicle. That way you won't be left high and dry if it does get stolen. Granted, some younger drivers of said high performance cars will find it difficult/impossible to insure such cars. if that's the case, try one of the other insurance companies (NAC, club auto etc. I Have no experience with either of these but others may have and can tell you the pros cons etc). Otherwise, if you can't get insurance for it, then don't buy the car. Or you could just risk it with no insurance. But yeah, not trying to be condescending, just hate hearing about cars with no insurance being stolen.

best mod for a car is insurance. even though im paying way over $1k a year its worth it and pieace of mine.

alarms dont really work, they'll just pull the sirens out and tow your car away. sad but true

It’s in pieces already, very sad occurrence and to frequent, insurance is a must however, the time money and dear I say passion and connection you lose is none replaceable, I had a zzr1100 that I loved to bits, I got it back and was never the same feeling, had to sell it after that

Where abouts in Ellerslie was it parked? On the road or off street??

the Drive.. it was parked off street just next to the house. was moving to a house with a proper garaged house the next morning but they scumbags stole it before it could get there.
