Changed fuel pumps over and still no go >:(

I have got power in the male plug so it has to be something else.... maybe there is a solenoid somewhere..... up in the passengers side under the dash???

Calling all experts!!!!!

Relay is bolted to RH firewall above steering column, there will be either 2 or 3 relays - it is the round green one with two thin wires (relay input) and two thick wires (to fuel pump), from memory it is the one in the middle.

4 wires at the plug end (under back seat) two thin wires for fuel level (variable resistor by float), two thick wires for fuel pump power: usually black with either red or yellow stripe (+12V), black (ground)

the factory fuel pump relays hardly fail, you can rewire your own relay to the pump via the ignition switch (on whn in the IGN posn). pumps draw about 4A so no need to rewire using 8-gauge wire, i found 12-gauge more than sufficient.

I thought you said you took a hose off under the bonnet and fuel went everywhere... that means you have fuel pressure surely?

The other thing is... you do realise the fuel pump only gets turned on for a second when you turn the key to start, then if the motor isn't running the ecu turns the pump back off again... You did know that right? And when you were checking for power with your gauge you were turning the key off and on? If you turned the key on, then got in the back and found twelve volts then you found the fuel gauges power supply, not the pumps.

Read again.... I was referring to my GTB which got a engine replacement not the GT in question. So thats what you get for thinking.

Further to the point... you do know that I had all the fuel hoses off.... which means the fuel pump should keep on pumping gas huh.... you did know that aye?

Didn't use a guage used a multimeter but you already knew that.

Anyway desipte all the sarcasim thanks for the advice

Ha Bat, you do have a bad attitude.

The fuel pump does not cut off due to pressure, it's timed by the ecu.

A multimeter or an analouge guage is still a gauge.

My reading abilities, well they are not really worth your sarcasm.

The fact you needed to ask the first question reveals a certain level of ignorance. Your responce reveals an even greater ignorance.

I wasn't being sacrastic Bat, I was offering suggestions, suggestions that I see you needed, but have chosen to ridicule instead. I see from your reply that you do not understand the basic principles of electrical theory. I see that you do knot know how the systems on theses cars work.

Good luck with it... and any other future problems you may have.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
