Rear Diff slippage?

First 4WD. Is an Auto GD Impreza

When I'm taking off from the lights anything above gently, I'm getting what feels/sounds like a slipping before engagement sensation from the rear drivetrain.

Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix?

at a wild guess i would say your auto is on its way out,as they drive the rear axle via an electronically controlled clutch pack

fit a fuse to the 4wd fuse holder under the bonnet on the drivers strut tower and sell it quickly

Broken rear CV? Are all the boots in tact?

try giving it a professional service. (not you a pro) then they adjust things and check solenoids etc. probably get it back to normal.

So do you have a total loss of drive when this sensation occurs?

Are you getting vibrations while driving?

Do the revs shoot up like a slipping clutch?

Dose this happen all the time or most the time sometimes?

Have you checked the fluid levels on the automatic gearbox and diff lately and any signs of leaks

No noticable loss of drive

No vibrations while driving

No revs shooting up

Happens almost everytime I take off from a standing start any harder than gently

Usually wearing my caped crusader costume, otherwise Petter Solbergs race overalls and going vroom vroom

Went to Kaspa transmissions

The clunk was because I was dropping it from Neutral to Drive and then gassing it.

The transmission needs about 2 seconds before it's ready to go.

They reckon it's better just to leave it in Drive anyways.
