vf22 on a forester?

well i dont see any problem with it. i see people replace their td04 with a Td05 all the time. the vf22 is like the td05. i dont see why there will be any problem. but you should get a ecu, afm and injectors to take full advantage of the vf22. they work really well over 14psi

I replaced my tdo4l with a vf 28 but did the ecu inj afm......massive difference.

vf22 with the rest of the gear would be preety good if the vf28 is anything to go by :)

only manual version though right?

We have a gay auto. :(

Prob wont be worth it running the auto. But then its all electrics etc in the Auto, so with a little trickery you may be able to do the whole ecu injectors afm and turbo swap.

its not worth the effort. I drive it maybe once a week. Its my mrs' car!!

If ecu, injectors and turbo were straight bolt on bolt off with no ecu probs then maybe.

Im doubtful so no go!

Maybe the manual conversion then the sti goodness rossmnz :)

Actually there's auto box from a fozy that i heard, is pretty dam strong, probably stronger than a 5 speed box, I think it was a comment from crunchie in a performance car magazine tech tips, some time ago, he made mention of it.

i think more to the point is that the sti ecu to run the yellows, afm and vf22 wouldnt run the auto?

I would think so,dont think anyone here has tryed it :)

Unless someone has a wiring diagram and the know how to make it work 8)

When I did my manual conversion there was a separate ecu for the auto box and the S/TB ecu that Will gave me works fine so it might just work just plugging in the STi ecu etc

I think you all need to realise that bigger turbo and standard grey inj and ecu and afm will be endangering your engines, :)

I know big daves has had the upgrade, but who else? :)

This is the mystery, seeing Ross's mrs foz is auto its unsure seeing everyone that has done the conversion either already has the yellows etc or does the whole shebang.

But my thinking is seeing the STB ecu worked on my car fine the STi one should in theory work. But if I was Ross I prob wouldnt want to risk upwards of a grand in parts to find out if it would (unless his awesomeness extends to selling on parts for a profit ;) )

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
