i would say your switch is buggered. if its unpluged/flasher broken/broken wire/blown fuse your indicators wouldnt work either, as your hazard switch intercepts the indicators

Not on a BL/BP it doesn't. All switched by the body control ECU, aka Integrated Unit.

Has someone had the stereo out of it? If so, then they will have forgotten to plug the hazard switch back in. I've seen it so many times its not funny.

Yeah its a BL5, the trip meter unit was replaced earlier...anyone know how to remove the centre console to access the plug??

I figured it out on my ol BE5 but this is a whole diff. kettle of fish with the integrated steeo/aircon unit...

Cheers...

Pop out the chrome ring around the gear shifter. There's a clip in each corner.

Lift the front edge of the cup holder section about 2cm. The clips for this are f'n tight.

Take the shifter surround out. Pop the back edge up first.

Take the screws out of the rear of the side trims.

Carefully pop the side trims backwards. 3 clips on each one.

Remove 3 screws on each side of the stereo-A/C panel.

Move the shifter to "D" and pull the stereo etc out.

Refit all in reverse order.

  • 2 years later...

I know i've dug up an old thread here, found it when searching.

Our hazard lights don't work in our 2003 BP Legacy...the indicators do work.

I've followed this thread and have removed the facia...friggin paranoid i'd break something, bit reluctant to pull the radio

set up out any further cos it's pretty tight.

Anyhow, the hazard switch is unplugged...there's no wiring to it. Where the hell would it be???

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
