Rough idle on starting

Hey guys, i when i start my car sometimes it starts but idles low as without stalling, and i dnt need to touch a thing,cant even give it revs. when it settles down and i give it some gas, as soon as vacume starts just before boost it starts all over again.something wrong with boost or something, im lost with it, dont really want to take it in. cheers.

Have you checked for air leaks? Had you done anything to the engine just before it started happening?

Yeah put a boost controller ona, but having issues with my intercooler piping, but my new piping arrives nxt week so will see how it goes once changed, cheers.

I would give the Idle control vavle a good clean out or use a can of upper engine cleaner, might help if problem still there after you've checked for leaks

Mines being doing the same thing over the last month or so,

Gonna do oil change this week might run some UCC through if I have the money.

Hey put somr upper engine cleaner through it, and all good now, notice the diff hardcore.

Few things that may cause problems like yours:

Faulty Air Flow Metre (common on V5 & V6 models)

Dirty Idle Control Valve

Oxygen Sensor (due for replacement perhaps)

Engine Temp Sensor (May also be due for replacement)

May also be wise to check your battery terminals and that the connections are tightly on.
