Inner cv out but not going back in.

Hey, iv popped my inner cv out off the boot that goes into that green cylinder, but cant get it in?? any special way to get it in or do i have to start taking of the entire cv, cheers.

usually you take the whole thing out as one unit, dont need to take the boot off, there is a cotter pin (sp?) that needs to be knocked out then the whole green piece will slide off the gearbox stub.

dont know if that helps you. why did you need to pull that joint apart?

From his other thread, it fell apart while changing gearboxes. Just needs to be re-assembled usually and they're good to go.

A few of the balls must have fallen out, cause when i hooked cv back up, would only turn a little then woud catch and was comming from the boot and green piece.

Sweet, so the ring with the balls does it slide up into the grooves on the knuckle?
