Nah the dude was stumped. Had no idea why it wouldn't fit. I could have possibly looked for a different steering knuckle but thats more money and I'm not even sure what would fit. I wasn't happy to have to hammer it but I also wasn't going to call it quits after I was this deep in.

Seems like abit of a shame to hammer that beauty of a pipe in! did the supplier say their are other options? i.e if this one is for a forester and doesnt fit yours - maybe one for an imprezza will ?

I just took to my redline kit with the help of @Subirex Automotive (ok he did most of it) Vbanded genome on a custom bashed 3inch pipe (can swap between the redline and genome tip easily)

Called redline. Guy on the phone basically said he has no idea why it doesn't fit, so I can send it back if I want to. Nice guy. Soooo....Looks like it's Hammer time.

Hi all. Because dumb question thread seems to have gone will ask here. I have a fair bit of smoke coming out of bonnet scoop after a bit of hard driving. There are no oil spots on my drive, no signs of leakage anywhere and oil level isn't dropping at all. Seems from what I've looked at that it's not coming from the turbos but more from under the intercooler. Only other thing to add is I think I may have a little too much oil in the car atm. Thanks guys

At an educated guess as the exact same thing happened to me plus I've seen it on a bunch of other subies. Rocker cover gaskets? Mine didnt leave any spots on the ground either. It tends to happen around the 150-200,000k mark from what I have read.

yep physically remove the link from the key barrel to the internal locking mech is an option but dumb if you get flat battery have seen rear door handles fitted to front doors on BG legacys & still kept the keyless entry feature (effectivley deleted key holes

Thinks he just means disconnecting locks on the inside of the door - so they still apear on the outside, but if forced with a screwdriver they dont actualy work (gota have a central locking alarm installed for it to work but super good idea)
