i'd forget about rotating, like shuffling the deckchairs on the titanic. xD

although with asymmetrical tyres like the ps4 you can swap from side to side.

stick to the stock staggered setup or budget for 9in front wheels too ?

245/40-19 is a funky size ?

toyo t1r's are positively stone age tyres, even the re003 is better.

pilot sport 4 is the flavour of the moment.

the ps4s is substantially more expensive.

some cheaper/less expensive tyres to explore - toyo t1 sport, hankook ventus s1 evo, yoko advan v105

cheers, shopping around for deals and will happily settle for the others you've mentioned at the right price. you don't rate rotating? didn't have my subi long enough (nor drive it far enough) for that but on old toyota cars i saw significant difference, as one particular car i had for 5 years and didn't rotate tyres at all, they looked brand new on outer edge and inner /center was completely bald so super dangerous (negligence on my part lol).

ya 245 40 19 is the stock rear tyre size. also the strange thing was that stock staggered setup has 224/45 on the fronts and all places that quoted me so far have the 225/45 front more expensive than 245/40 rears, so it gave me more incentive to consider the square setup rather than staggered.

i never rotated the tyres when i had an sti.

just regular wheel alignments.

with the move to a fwd golf i also left the tyres alone but you get the fronts wearing faster so i just swap front to rear to even out wear.

depends on the alignment i guess, i do believe both alignment and rotation of tyres wherever possible is very important to extend life of the entire set. this especially when people running different levels of camber.

i have since decided to go for re003s with a square setup at 245 40 19 all around. didnt feel it was worthwhile paying the extra 350ish for the ps4 set. ideally would get from bridgestone westgate but their buy 3 get 1 ran out (took me too long to decide what i wanted). asked around for a few deals on alternative tyres suggested on thread and the re003 seem to present the best value on that deal.

Hiya, would anyone in/near Wellington have a spare passenger floor mat for a 2006 Legacy b4? I’ve looked at a few aftermarket options but I’d like to find an original. Cheers!
