  1. nope cobb does not support any JDM/NZ/AUS WRX/STI Models. What you need is this http://www.evoscan.com/evoscan-gps-obdii-cables/details/13/1/performance-vehicle-pc-diagnostic-interfaces/evoscan-13d-usb-obdii/mutiii/ssmii-datalogging-cable and this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/electronics/auction-545623871.htm Total $300, + $150 for the wideband sensor to be welded if not a diy job. Then get a tune i reccomend you contact this man http://www.flashtune.co.nz/ great guy, helpfull and affordable street tune, $350. Total cost $800. And if stock turbo vf30/22 etc 220kw* round about. Or buy a link $1400, + $600 for a tune on a dyno,... (estimation)
  2. I\'ve never posted many images of my vehickle, as it\'s always in a poor state like being backed into, or side swiped. & my weekend car.
  3. Today I learned that when a mermaid\'s top half is monkey instead of human, it\'s called a "Fiji mermaid".
  4. hey, i was thinking of doing the same to mine as theres a bit of oil in it.. how long did it take and was it easy to do? Yeah well, was a pita, lol but I reckon if I knew what I know, now.. about an hour & a half remove intercooler, disconnect inlet hoses, (if you purchase the \'over-sized\' samco replacement hose, all the connection ends need a 1/2 inch cut off them all to fit corectly. Pull the old hose out (requires to be cut) spray the new hose with wd40 and a bit of swearing should slide right in.
  5. replaced my warped turbo inlet, to a new samco hose... What a major PITA of an install, not much of a difference in spool, but must log. makes my face ;D with the louder spool, thanks hijacka for the help & rex-leggy for the tip on the acl paper
  6. what about posting the error log with ecuflash, not sure where it saves, try /program files(x86)*/openEcu/EcuFlash/
  7. they need to just drop the 'wrx' badge, and just go with legacy... Bring back WRX into the line when they design a proper widebody coupe with a big ass wing.
  8. there fine, 2.5"-3.0" will reape the same benefits, 3" will be louder, You could find a sti pipe, and just mix/match the axleback with whatever gives you the sound you are looking for...The loudness is all in the axleback exit. otherwise, custom tbe catless is around $700 & less from exhaust shops etc.,
  9. factory solenoid efficient, the spikes etc that people experience, you can smooth that out through tuning. Boost tap will help spool and help hold it, but not neccesary. If you plan on buying one, look into the 3 ports.
  10. warning! This video contains content which may cause social violence You've been warned, turn up the volume, and hold onto your stomach!!
  11. I run a tiptronic box too, 150,000kms, run 200kw daily @21psi on a 207, ... not a single issue ever, i change @ regular service intervals, but also run a external cooler, Sure I miss the manual now & again, but atleast tiptronic mode you can +/- whenver, and wont have the gearbox shifting down or up on you.
  12. Racing In Slow Motion IV 16 Minutes of pure racing footage. epic beauty :-[ :'(
  13. get it from ebay mate, you wont need to pay any import taxes as it should fall under the $100 mark for actual value. I brought the grimmspeed 3port bcs (lookthat up its even more fancy ) cost me $150 plus postage from states, and on the package value was stated as $80, lol
  14. the older evos run the same turbo , I remeber looking for a replacement years back before settling for a td04 in mine ;D 500-520 cfm The evo4+ series run a 9cm wheel, i tihnk the 8's have a 10cm wheel. Thats the main diff, which is going to be alot more power.

    Exhaust

shouldn't iv'e seen aftermarket exhaust setupts with 3" down, then taper to 2.5", if they do it,.. You can also buy 3"->2.5" adapters from companies like invidia, grimmspeed,
  16. A company in Frankon, Behind mainfreight, I won't name as they were nice guys, but it wasn't the car tune company, lol.
  17. When my car was originall "tuned" and i paid hundreds of dollars for, When I brought my cable and downloaded the rom, it was identical to stock, except for a few warning lights turned off, and my boost tap was turned up. : I was pulling fuel all over the place, not to mention this was after a new motor swap, new turbo, new injectors, new pump etc, and none of that was compensated for... Now my iv'e retuned myself, with some guidance from another tuner, and haulin ass even more.. ;D closed/open loop i think took me like a couple of weeks of driving to dial in.
  18. sound like this ?forged will knock during cold start, but woll smooth out when engine is warmed up. Does the tick increase with revs? or dissappear? Guy in video seemed to diagnose his tick as an exhaust leak,
  19. are the drivers correctly installed on the laptop? - possibility..yep 9pin female - female is correct.
  20. the sti genome (style) pods off trademe are sh*t, I brought one and it is warped on the sides, they are also required to be glued down, I would suggest if you want the defi style purchase a second had oem unit, or somthing from ATI http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Automotive-Gauge-Pod where i purchased mine, second time round, Perfect fit, and looks just like the dashboard, can also mount 50or60mm gauges,
  21. See if this gives you an idea what you might be looking at for each level of service. $130 from a local garage for oil/filter/washers etc, or $70 diy. castol 10w-40, $90 for 5w-30 (garage $150) $500 from a garage, for oil+coolant+sparkplugs+Brake+Labour costs, or $80 coolant(oem), + $70-90 for oil&filter(oem) +$40 for sparkplugs(oem)+$60 fuel filter(oem)+$50 +Brake oil $40castol super 4dot (DIY)
