yeah it was a toy i picked up for a hundy a few years ago.. I was going to put the motor and box into a chevette but turned out the vette conversion was going to be a pain in the ass!!! ( funny thing is the vette is still sitting on the back lawn LOL. even have the fiberglass kit n shit for it.) So i ended up fixing up the piazza instead. Actually running a vf8 in it now.. goes hard and is hell fun in the wet.. Old RWD Turbo FTW!!!

My Mrs has QYKCHK on her 98STI. Makes it a pain for me to drive it. LOL I have QYKCAR on my little Turbo Piazza... Kinda a joke but def gets the looks.

I had my timer pack a shit not so long ago. Turned out that the guys doing the track day safety audit , flicked the main isolator on and off really quick which screwed up the timer. Bloody thing wouldn't stop beeping the whole time i was out on track!!!!!!! Ended up unplugging it for rest of the day.. When i plugged it back in the next day it was fine.

I have seen this type of problem in another car..... Turned out that the guy had played with some sub amp wiring and blown the main fuse..... Turned out that the computer had suffered a spike and was over fueling at startup. his sounded almost identical to what yours is doing. His would go fine for weeks then playup for no apparent reason. He would do a battery disconnect and it would be ok for a week or so sometimes but you never knew when it would happen again.. He changed the computer about 2 months ago and the problem has gone away. Try another computer dude.

Car 99 RSKB4 KM"S 60,000 Bought car from dealer 200kms later knock knock...... Rebuild then 10months later same deal!!!!!!!!! Both claimed under car warranty but HELL!!!! Found out later it was the x demo car from Wingers.... That explains it. Thrashed from day one i bet. Traded it and bought 98 sti 150,000 kms and still going strong!!!

ok then... lets throw one out there.... The JDM Isuzu Piazza turbo runs a RBH turbo centre. (without water circuit.) And the Aussie Built car runs the water circuit version of the same turbo. Who was right? The JDM lads Or the Aus boys? Now About two years ago i put a VF8 into my Piazza and did not connect up the water lines. The car has never missed a beat the whole time it has been installed. About 20 thousand km's and none of them easy.

I know that one of the chipped ECU's has a boost cut at 16psi. Car had a dodge as boost tap in it when i got it. It was spiking up to 16psi and cutting... thats why i put the speedlab chip in and went back to the standie solenoid. (the chip was supposed to give me 14psi) the only downside with doing that is it only gets up to about 10psi in 1st and 2nd.. And about 13 ish in all other gears. but i just bought a tap so going to set it for 14 and see how it goes.

does that RA ecu still have the boost cut though?

two of the spare i have are chipped dude but have no idea what the chips are. the chip in the ecu i am currently running is from the speedlab guy off trade me. Gives me 14psi. Maybe i should put the other ones in and see what they do... Yeah i may sell one though.. Having three spares is a bit of an overkill me thinks....

Ok guys now i'm not sure how but i have managed to pick up a few spare ecu's with my car. Is there any way to find out what the hell these are from? They are all 4 plug model. I have opened a couple of them up and 2 of them have chips and j1 jumper cut but i have no idea what the hell the chips are.... Just in case i have somehow picked up a good computer i may as well install it in my car. Any help with these would be great. 1st one is K7 A18-000-RP7 2ND E3 A11-000-RB1 3RD IS B3 A11-000-R69. I have tuned headers on my 89 rs rally car. And at idle it sound pretty much like any other sub. It's not till you give it some and get on boost you notice the evo type sound. But there is still no doubt it is a ub.
