What you will have seeen is USDM Legacies which came with UEL. If your car is a jap import it will come with EL headers and again you will only get it by replacing the headers and all that mucking around to get less performance but the Subaru rumble.

I run this subtech pipe on my STi smoker (05 BP) You wont get boxer rumble from a JDM BP/BL because they come from factory with equal length headers. Exhaust mods cant change this. Replacing headers from EL to UEL will but they are EL for a reason. Better design. If you want to run lean and destroy your engine then do exhaust mods without a retune. Otherwise since the ECU struggles compensating for so much new flow with say a new free flow air filter and larger downpipe with no cat and bigger bore exhaust it must be remapped to accomodate new levels. My car has been tuned remotely from a well known Subaru tuner in California.

Juist trying to work out what 3 or 4 beeps means and then it auto locks kinda like auto arming or something. Was in the car and then walked away and heard a few beeps then the central locking locked the car. Key was in my pocket.

Sure if you buy into the whole euro = better myth. I worked at BMW for years so believe me I know the reality. Audis are one of my favourite European makes but comparing like for like with RS series Audis against Legacies is silly.

Considering the legacies are 2ltr you would sure as s*** hope the RS4 was faster. Just like HSV (Horrible s***ty Vehicles) they arent acheiving much when it takes 4 extra cylinders and at least 3+ litres to beat something like a little Subaru. Good job it never rains in NZ since Ford and Holden have no traction under power,corners or pretty much anything other than dry straight drag conditions. New price vs new price, what you would save buying a new legacy or STi over buying a new RS4 you could spend tens of thousands on mods on the Subaru and it would kane the RS4 all day. Look at some of the 600+hp Subarus in the states Also stock Sti has better time round Nurburgring than the stock Audi so it depends if you want a drag car or an all round performance car.

Yes using the Tactrix cable I connect that to the port in the footwell drivers side and other end to my laptop. Used ECUFlash and loaded his new basemap. Then run Romraider and log while doing a 3rd gear pull (2000rpm to redline) That info gets sent back to the tuner and they repeat this process 6 times until we have a smooth tune. Will be getting some nice torque out of the Legacy in a few weeks.
