Ok, I need to rephrase the question. What lifting points do i/should I use?

Having never used a trolley jack or axel stands to do an oil change, can someone please offer some advice. Lol. This is the dumb question thread isn\'t it? I looked everywhere for the retarded question thread, :-[

Good to see someone else has these tyres and likes them. Drove home from Ashurton today in the rain and was so good to have confidence in the corners in the wet.

These aren\'t as noisy as the Yokohama A Drive R1\'s I had a while back which is a good thing. The last set of tyres I had were Dunloip Le mans LM703\'s and they were good but wore incredibly quickly. They were worn so badly I knew I\'d never pass a warrant with them. Funny thing is as bald as they were I knew exactly when I was at the limit on them. These new tyres seem to tramline a little but that could just be me and the fact I haven\'t had NEW tyres for so long. Either way they\'re grippy as hell.

Had 4 new Eagle F1 Directional 5 tyres fitted while in Christchurch. Too good a price to say no. Have only driven from chch to methven with them so far and love them.

Paid for the following in the time we had our policy : Rocker cover gaskets O2 sensor Knock sensor And a massive $4k for our automatic gearbox when it what itself. I would never buy a car and not get a mechanical warranty. Our current car still qualifies if we decided on a new policy but tossing up whether to buy a year\'s worth of cover or just flick the thing and get something newer.

If you need help or advice on how to quiet the missus, Oscar Pistorius might be able to help? Lol.

A member in dunedn, "Subie4Snow" if I remember right did this mod to his forester with legacy wagon boot struts and it was mint, easy to open and close and from memory wasn\'t too difficult? Think he\'s in oz now but still an active member, pm him and ask how he did it. Top guy and should be only to happy to help.

Na wouldn\'t take too long to do and could probably have done it myself if i had tools and axle stands etc etc etc, lol.

Dropped the car off at the mechanics, had the new drive shaft fitted and was called around smoko time to tell me it was ready. $120 for 2\'nd hand drive shft from Roscos in Ashburton $37 to have old one removed and new one put in, bloody good i reckon? Best thing is the car doesn\'t rattle now, god it sounded awful !

I remember when the O2 sensor on our Blitzen went, holy crap I didn\'t think a vehicle could use that much gas ! Got it fixed quick smart.

Drove to ashburton to go to Roscos, bought a drive shaft and am taking it to mechanic on Monday morning to have it put in. Can\'t wait to drive my car again and not have it rattling like a 30 year old dunga, lol. BTW, Roscos blew my mind, awesome amount of stock and good prices.

@kiwi-fozze, if something shit or totally out of the ordinary is gonna happen I\'ve learnt to accept it\'ll almost always happen to me or my shit, lol. Probably just gonna go with getting the drive shaft from roscoes and get the mechanic to put it in, he can use the hoist etc. As much fun as it sounds like I just can\'t be arsed being under the car trying to swing a hammer, lol.

Hey guys, some of you might know that I\'ve bad the most annoying noise that I haven\'t been able to identify or pinpoint. Local mechanic agreed to loom at it and we went for a short drive, got back to workshop and put it on the hoist. Turns out the driveshaft is cavetating and when under load it\'s off balance and rattles etc, the guy reckons its the universal joint that\'s run dry or something. Gonna head to Roscoes I. Ashburton tomorrow and pick one up, $120 ish seems ok to me. Are these fixable or is it best and easier to just put a new/secondhand one in and save the hassle? Cheers

It\'s beautiful ! Went for a fish close to the bridge but caught stuffall, although got savaged by a million bloody sandflies. Got to invest in some new fishing gear and try land a couple salmon.

Hey guys and girls, just changed from State to ClubAuto and found them super helpful. After some reflection I realised I hadn\'t told state my whole story/history etc and decided to tell them. They said I should look elsewhere, I looked around and called tons of places and ended up at CA, told then EVERYTHING and they agreed to cover me for what I thjnk is a pretty good price, about $700 per year. Point is, if they\'ll insure me they\'ll insure anyone so if you\'re struggling to find an insurer give them a call. Obviously I\'ll find out how good they are if heaven forbid anything ever happens to my car. Until then, they\'re ok in my books.
