  1. If you consider shopping around for a policy that\'ll give you an agreed value a hassle then I dont know what to say? I\'m with State and we\'ve got an agreed value FWIW.
  2. Shop around and find an insurance company that\'ll do an agreed value, simple really.
  3. I\'ve got a GOPRO wrist mount/housing if anyone wants to make a semi decent offer, in good nick.
  4. Don\'t know much about mitsis but had a mate a few years back who bought an evo5. Wound the boost up to 24-26psi and absolutely rooted the engine, cracked/melted pistons etc etc etc. He was a trainee mechanic and had a good mechanical warranty. Rebuilt engine and carried on. The point though, mitsis cannot run that much (28psi etc) boost safely. Shit, any turbo car can run 50psi safely, for a few seconds, lol.
  5. Yea thanks for that mate, gonna get it in hopefully Monday or Tuesday?
  6. Far out I would kill any mofo that touched my car, lol. Turns out the front wheel weight is loose, gonna take it in to tyre shop this week and get a new one put on.
  7. Its definitely speed related, not rev related. Don\'t think its the cc, didn\'t see any leaks etc when car was jacked up. As for stone guard, dunno? If anyone in the ashburton area feels like helping that\'d be awesome. Also don\'t think its an exhaust leak, it sounds like a metallic tick, sorta metal on metal?
  8. I thought maybe a nail or something but I\'ve jacked the car up and taken all 4 wheels off and checked tyres , I dunno, FUCK!
  9. Hey guys, not sure if I\'m in the right section but about 2 weeks ago I noticed a loud tick and thought it was someone else\'s car? Few days later I was driving in ashburton and heard it again. I noticed it when the drivers window was open and going past buildings, cars, walls etc. Initially I thought it was the centre cap of the wheel which was a bit loose, maoried up a solution and thought that\'s be the end of it. Nope! Its still there and I can\'t work out what it is and where its coming from. It doesn\'t sound mechanical, sounds like something ticking/tapping away but only above about 30kph. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Screeech, skid, bang, BOOM! Police officer: So tell me son, how come you lost control of the vehicle on a straight bit of road? Reply: Ah, cos I was trying my best to kill that last fucking pig. No wait. wait wait, that\'s not what I meant............................................... ROFL!
  11. Far out that is nice! What\'s been done to it?
  12. Found a few more pics that are hopefully a bit more helpful and of a higher quality than the others.
  13. Will do mate, those pics are admittedly average but the light in the factory, coupled with the fact its silver pearl makes it hard to see. Sure I\'ll get some more soon. Lol. As for how long its been going on, I\'ve been there 3 months and its happened from the start, been particularly bad for the past couple weeks.
  14. ASL, Fairview? I think are the suppliers. I\'m just sick to death of finding this on a regular basis and when I go to the production manager he asks for pictures, which I email to him and then he forwards them to the supplier. He\'s a softcock and won\'t press the matter. It makes me mad cos at some point down the line someone who owns the house our product goes into will notice defects and then it\'s a huge cost to go out, take the window/sash out, bring it back to the factory and then repair or replace it. If it was up to me i\'d be going to the factory and doing my nut.
  15. I know someone on here is a powdercoater/painter and I\'m hoping they or someoine ele might be ablr to help identify what might be causinfg the issues we\'re having with powdercaoted extrusions at work. I\'m an aluminium fabricator/joiner and for the past while our supplier has been sending us alot of metal with these marks on them. I\'m of the impression there might be water/condensation in the lines from the air compressor, sprays droplets of water onto metal, powder is applied and then once baked and the water evaporated this happens? In reality I have no clue but would appreciate any help or ideas. Thanks
  16. Does Methven count? Name: Clint Car: 2001 Legacy Blitzen sedan. Phone: 0212246503 Email: [email protected]
  17. My car did this same thing ages ago, does yours feel like it\'s gonna stall when you\'re stopped at lights etc? Ours turned out to be the O2 sensor and it didn\'t throw a code, did after a couple days but yea, maybe look at O2 sensor or AFM.
  18. Eish that is early! Can\'t promise anything although it\'d be good to get there, won\'t put my car on the dyno but still a good time. Beer after? Lol.
  19. When is the dyno day and where is it? I\'m in methven but wouldn\'t mind getting outta here for the day, see some cool cars and meet some members.
  20. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/legacy/auction-550232268.htm I emailed the owner of this car the other day asking why it\'s been on TM for so long without being snapped up and his reply was that most people are avoiding it because the cambelt etc hasn\'t been changed. I\'m not looking at one of these but if I was this would be a strong contender. He tells me it\'s going in for one either this week or next and then the price will be going up to original price which from memory was about $15k? I know white isn\'t everyones cup of tea but from what you\'ve told us this ticks alot of the boxes for you?
  21. I started a thread asking why it\'s the auto that kills turbos, does the manual version not and if not, why?
  22. Apparently "Roascoes Subaru Parts\' in Ashburton had some Cusco adjustabel suspension for sale second hand recently. Unsure of the model etc but look them up on Google and give them a call, $500 from what I heard.
  23. There were a couple of Corazon models on TM a little while ago, as a whole package, no thanks. The grille however is very cool.
