  1. milky bars .... do they still exist! yummmm
  2. ive heard that if you crack the nuts loose then go for a drive that can loosen them up . but your past that point now as they wont come out of the hub without being grinded
  3. just there 3 wire so splice the power and signal and the third cable just needs to be earthed to the bolt that holds the coil in with a lug. so you just need the coils with plugs. i couldn\'t answer ya question about using v3/4 gear on v 1/2 manifold
  4. why not upgrade to better coil on plug ? the bh + coils stand up to everything much better and there pretty simple to change. doesn\'t help for the strait inlet tho :-\
  5. from stuff ive seen its all not that flash. i replaced some of that titanium heat wrap with new because it turned crap. that was the expensive stuff to i think. also my stuff turned to crap real fast thinking it might be better to outlay the exrat cost of hpc coating vs replacing wrap. bit that pisses me off is when ya buy black wrap it should dam well stay black lol
  6. yip i would beat the utter crap outa that guy!
  7. if its a wrx and not sti i personally wouldn\'t pay 8 for it as for a bit extra you could be looking at a gdb v8 sti ect
  8. got a pic of under the bonnet? just I believe thats a wrx bumper not sti (spotlights and no covers)
  9. something about when the wastegate opens turbulence effects the flow ... read it a while ago have no idea if it true. in my mind it would be sfa
  10. wow didnt think that 16s would fit..... im going to see if i can get mine to work now haha
  11. ive just swapped out my semi closed for a closed for my build. im using am sleeves so probably not necessary but i figure extra support is extra support . the only annoying part is there\'s extra cost to run a better crank (rear thrust)
  12. I dont think so . from what ive seen theres one type of closed deck
  13. these turned up today . copper gaskets and ss o-ring wire imbedded sealant how flash
  14. difference would be weather its has cast or factory forged pistons. pull the spark plugs and get a camera in there otherwise pull the heads. if it has wrx heads (shim over) id put $$$ on betting it has cast pistons
  15. all depends on which year your talking about early short blocks can have little to no differences (differences are in cylinder heads) late model short blocks are a different story , semiclosed or open , cast or hypercast pistons , standard crank / cross drilled / nitrated ect
  16. dropping the tank will take ages! drill a hole and slap some need it in after lol
  17. agreed there are other options out there not just garrett. not just holsets either but there are other brands avalible . turbos that will have good responce while still being big enouth to leave some head room. you could look into twin scroll and also using late model heads with avcs to help with lag on bigger turbos. along with alcohol injection ect ive only had experience with 274/272 cams with around 12mm lift and after changing there wasnt a dramatic change in spooling time, but my engine was a stroker so that would most likey be why as you say $$ isnt a prob then I would look into some of these options
  18. spotted down the motorway cant remember users name but love the car also pretty stoked with the camera on my s3 didn\'t think the pic would be anywhere as good. especially with the dirty windscreen
  19. it can go through the same gromett as the a/c pipes . and then along under the trims run rca\'s on opposite side of car
  20. the diesel still makes good power but 6l per 100kms ill take that. at the end of the day if they were both sitting there it prob grab the 2.5t
  21. possible but dam it wouldn\'t look flash at all.
