  1. You may or may NOT get a WOF I Have to say WTF? Dont be a dawk . Fix it because it DOES affect vehicle handling. ;D
  2. Rumour has it PBMS is putting a cage in one. :) They now also using a hub dyno for tuning at E&H Auto down the road.
  3. Heard a story from a guy who used glue traps in a restaurant to catch a few rats, rats ended up with their two front feet stuck to the glue boards and started running around the restaurant whilst attached to the glue board during the dinner service. The moral of the story is everyone ate free that night. F***kin Laugh though! I Bet............LMFAO! ;D ;D ;D :D
  4. Detonation usual cause of failure assuming correct oiling. Knock sensor issue? My favourite suspect along with lean fuelling to the associated piston due to being last on the fuel rail.. Assumed No3? (drivers side rear?) A better computer than the standard along with split rail fuelling could/should/will prolong engine life when re tuned correctly too. Esp BE failure wise. ;)
  5. yur! best way! Glue? American way of inflicticking cruelty with a slow death. Does work too! But the Mrs may not like to hear the death squeals!
  6. That sucks! 30,000K is nothing! :( Could refit a motor or short block swap yours for ya in Auck $2.5K job done with warranty. 10.000km
  7. +1 Agreed. Its in the title too Tune related.
  8. Misfire? Check Engine code? Doubt spark gap . But Platinum\'s at 1.0mm correct for std. (98 octane assumed) Iridium\'s? Chuck them out! Lots of fuel consumed per km? Equals Driving attitude? or a Check engine code? 10 times out of 10.
  9. Yes A well installed or should i say correctly installed alarm will prevent the drive away theft. Next barrier is the "tow away" theft. As my Ol man said one day "Locks only keep honest people away" If The B***stards Want it They WILL take it. > > > For Me Sleepa car is also a deterrent.
  10. Re Above=E:- Nicely said. 8) Tis a black art for sure. One day some one will put a camera inside an engine to "see" a bit more of WTF is actually going on under extreme loads and rpm. Then slow it down. Now with our current digital technology and slo mo this cannot be far away. Im guessing you have also discovered that the factory bearing clearance can be improved upon to provide better bearing life. Well done that is a serious issue! Also a proper engine Guru secret. 8) Nothing quite like a "clean" set of bearings to start with either.
  11. Hand grooving can be done. VERY carefully with a diamond point tool. or triangular scraper if you know what you are doing and have the know how ability. Correctly done these X cuts into the bearing face will aid the "michell" lubrication theory or wedging effect that keeps the bearing surfaces apart. Beats two holes and loss of bearing surface area.
  12. Have been told that they get your account number details 8) then they "find" your access password or PIN somehow. From there its plug out and your bath gets drained. Quickly too! ??? Clever?? oOOOH Yes they are unfortunatly >
  13. Ah the beauty of a light flywheel. Luv it! :D Get ya heel/toe weighed off, An ya Left foot brake downshift!
  14. Yep. Thats about when these idiots started their scam. Gets other idiots everytime. They use scatter tactics. Everyone gets an invite. Law of averages prevails and suckers get their accounts drained. So the scam pays off! Cant understand why myself. : : :
  15. Just be a bit careful lightening the std flywheel. 8) Esp if you are also going to run hi clamp force on the pressure plate. Deflection of the std lightened flywheel will occur way before a hi grade steel or correctly manufactured ali one. Deflection will equal destruction!! :\'( :\'( Yep! Been there done that
  16. My bet is this:- ;D http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,33590.0.html Another read here too http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,32502.0.html and also this.http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,33060.0.html As you have already posted code22 issue. This is it ;)
  17. LOL. I actually have a spare. Just wanting to maximise the current ones life. But im guessing its at an end.. Not an area of machinery that i know much about,:- these "Auto" things.
  18. 1991 turbo Auto Trans. This old gearbox has done 320,000Km and its just started to slip (flare) in 3rd and 4th. Is that it? New box time? Or can it be adjusted to cope with the wear? No codes emitted from trans ECU ???
  19. Pressure drop loss due to injectors fuelling for boost requrement. Injector fuel feed lines too small for the system. This will give indication of no increase in pressure when measured on the return line prior to the fpr under boost. Replace fuel lines from the tank to the reg with 10mm or 8mm ID as a minimum. Fixed!
  20. Ah Balance! ;D "free"power. ;D ;Dlol
  21. this was not done by GCP mr ross roofings "listen to me" Richard Rowlins put together to order not design. Very nice manifold setup.
  22. I never said a VF22 will do 250kw. Didnt say it wouldnt either but def not something Ive ever seen. Im not going to start a decap arguement a lot of guys knock them who have never used them. A lot of people in oz went from sard/aftermarket to decaps and there is locals who have done the same. Decapping wont flood it with a tuneable ecu you know that, trim the d/c. I say this coz my setup is maxed on 440cc with a 1.7:1 reg Id prefer the safety net of lower d/c and a shtload of headroom. Considering heaps of people run ID1000 at a seriously low d/c thats hardly the issue. I run 1000 injectors. ;D Its about the spray pattern instead of just squirting a jet of fuel in. Yes you can control ok but you do risk flooding easily. I said you can use a VF22. By that i mean you dont need a after-market "bigger" turbo, (I run 250kw on VF22) Evo? ;) Im not looking to argue here. Its just that there is a better and more reliable way than decapping injectors
  23. Do a leakdown test first to see if valves are seated...Easy to do with the belt broken. If each pot holds pressure then YAHOO away you go with another belt ;D
