  8. all bp legacy has traction control system equipped, some premium specs come with VDC which can be turned on and off using switch. my 2003 bp5 gt has traction control in it. more info from here http://www.planetsubaru.com/subaru-vehicle-dynamics-control-vdc.htm and, allycat, you do have traction control in your car

  11. used the same backing plate less dust cover. removed oe dust cover from original backing plate and used v7 dust cover.
  12. washer?? there are no washers in front of crank sprocket. as per picture it looks like there is two wear points. 1 from the outside edges which indicates the belt might be wider compared to oe ( there are two different widths on these models) causing it to rub hard against the cam pulley guides. 2 check the aftermarket belt guide on the crank sprocket, remove and see if it is rubbing against the top part of the belt, if it is than the clearance is too tight. also check your alloy crank pulley for wear marks
  13. costed me $500 for the adapters and bigger brake shoes from oz. with this i just used v7 rear rotors and brake bads. no need to get smaller drum type rotor. from this : to this :

  16. if you can pm me your ecu number than i can check for the available pak file for your car
  17. 95 octane wont affect your sensor, and as for cat being faulty, its out of the question. if your cat is faulty the code of p0420 will be logged and not p0031 or p0032, which is a/f ratio . when you went to armstrongs, did they install the pak file(ecu reflash) for the a/f ratio sensor? subaru japan had released few ecu upgrade for these models where a/f ratio sensor gets buggered up too quickly. go back to them and ask them if the pak file is available for your car. get that installed first before you change the sensor. it happened to by bp5 as well, where the new sensor faulted only after 10,000km of driving. installed the file and it has been 2 years and hasnt faulted yet. the reflash will not cost as much as the sensor. should be around an hour of labor plus the price of file that they have to acquire from subaru nz
  18. Aww crap, is it my fault... na not your fault, you were bang on target, he just got confused ???

  22. if your car is wagon than check the wiring loom where tailgate and body are bolted. remove rubber boot enough to view wiring. pull individual wires and see which one comes out. its quite common on the wagons.
  23. most of the import legacy\'s are programmed to do that from factory. 3 of my bh did that and currently my bp legacy does that as well. i programmed allycat\'s bp to do that as well. its quite handy for me on hot days to put the window down and let it cool down. as for your windows going down automatically after locking, thats a different issue. try reprogramming the window thats on the link. if you still cant fix it, ill help you out. i.e if you are in auckland.
