  1. Sobanoodle's got one of those throttle altering controllers, give him a buzz
  2. Acceleration will be faster but things will be pretty harsh with a 35. It'll look a bit strange with such small wheels too, also speedo will be off by about 7kph.
  3. May be simple but isn't a perfect fit. End up with some dirty gaps round the place without doing the full swap.
  4. Bridgestone RE003's for my new set too. Hard to tell if they're a better tyre or going 20mm wider made most of the difference but the car certainly grips a truck load better than it used to
  5. When i replaced my 3rd gen one it had a really surgy idle with it removed but with a completely stuffed afm it would stall instantly. Maybe they have some form of guestimation tables in limp mode when it senses an open circuit for this?
  6. How hard is it to remove low profile tyres from a rim? Absolute ***** of a job without a machine or not so bad?
  7. Do you have complete standard headers on it currently or was it a bit of custom job to get it fitting in the GC8?
  8. Not familiar with phase 2 EZ30's, assume they're the BE/BH ones, does it have 3 exhaust ports per head or one? The raptor set is a pretty sweet bit of kit if yours is the 3 port design
  9. That was my first instinct too, but surely not correct. If they do always pass the smaller piston first then the only difference would be the bleed nipples/crossovers would be the wrong way around. Having it on the front of the wheel will only mean it passes the small then large piston going downwards rather than upwards for the subaru way. Mounting them in the subaru direction wouldn't cause the piston order to change at all, small piston still touches first. Swapping left to right will mean the crossovers/ bleeders are the right way around but the large piston will then touch first. Same problem the BRZ guys have when putting Subaru Brembo's on their cars, just the other way aroumd
  10. Solid proof good fuel makes the difference. Does that 4th gen they have up belong to anyone on here? The 5th gen aint so bad but the 2.0L 4th gen they put up is well into plastic TMIC failing territory. 21 psi must surely be getting to the edge of the compressor map for a turbo that size too
  11. Just go to repco or toolshed and get a cheap set which has a whole range of security heads, they then fit into a drill or certain sized socket piece. Think the set i got was only about $10-15
  12. Agree with boon there. When they crash the cars f'd but thats their insurance's problem, not ACC. They'll in theory be in alot better shape than someone driving an early 90's car who will then cost ACC more in hospital bills, hence why the system exists as it does.
  13. Pretty hard to be judging whether they are fake or not off a different model that may be different even for real ones. If you do return them don't go back to wingers. Find a reputable local parts supplier and get them from there. Subaru prices for some items are just stupidly high compared to the opposition.
  14. Pretty much. Quite a few americans try getting the blackface meters working with their standard ones, believe some have cracked it but its definately in no way a plug and play affair
  15. Blackface meter had nothing to do with e-tunes, just became standard for the gt's from rev c onwards.
  16. Don't read into that too much, seems to be a online sales part of a legitimate business. Read the small print below the main title. Division of mount auto electrical, and they've been in the mount as long as I can remember. Thats their address http://yellow.co.nz/y/auto-workshop-supplies http://yellow.co.nz/y/mount-auto-electrical-mount For that price is it really too good to be true though?.. Should be able to get a set of real ones from amazon for about half that price, did it a few years ago for the old car.
  17. Yea thats the one. Didn't notice yours was a 3.0r, they use the E code rather than 5. Easiest way to tell is the lower outer edge of the prefacelift headlights have a corner, where facelift ones curve up.
  18. Its a prefacelift. Will be a BL5C Last year before the facelift
  19. Non mcintosh systems maybe without an amp. Feeding the new HU output to the mcintosh amp under the seat isn't exactly a 10min job. Gotta splice into the mcintosh amp cable or feed back into the old HU.
  20. How'd they set that up? Does it just feed back into the mcintosh through the cd changer port or something?
  21. Yea stock for now. Thinking about just getting some sti pinks to get rid of some of the guard gap without going too low.
  22. Front bumper and side skirts will fit but rear end is completely different.
