  1. without. stealth option everything is black. Saw the stealth option on insta couple days after i ordered haha but the only thing you see is top hats so no point. all top hats are black on the MCA range with the exception of the golds
  2. Hell, If all is good and the thing has any integrity, it is an awesome car. But... Weekend worrier or daily? wheels arnt even that bad, they are not chrome.... TM auction is down so cant look at pics again but looked like Rotiform NUE's, would look sick if the photos were taken on something better than a potato in some decent light. Edit, quick Internet troll and yip Rotiforms, not my personal favorite but still not bad wheels. If you rely on it and cant fix it though screw dailying it.
  3. Yea sorry for the fail update. Ordering them and dealing with the lads at MCA was a breeze. Dealing with NZ customs was not however. In the end the grand total came to: $1889 customs charged $289gst and coilovers were 1600 including shipping. They arrived in NZ nice and quick but then customs basically lost them in the corner of their office for 3 weeks. Just installed them a week ago, super happy with the build quality and informative information packaged with them and the fact that they have a spring and damper rate setup specifically for the BE5 chassis is comforting. They ride extremely well, super polite ride, not too aggressive but when you toss it into a corner it just sits and hugs rather than body rolling like a pig on stock struts. super happy and at the end of the day if i was to do it again i probably would. disappointing about customs charges becasue without them they are an amazing price. we need someone who imports and supplies these in NZ. i'm still keen to know what BCs or YSs would be like cause i hear they are also respectable. if i was after some new suspension and just wanted to lower the car i would probably just go for BCs or YSs due to price but with performance in mind MCA seem to know whats up. ill update my garage thread with some more info once i've had a chance to get some pics of how the car is sitting now and some more info on the install but below is some pics for those of you who dont like reading.

  5. Bastards!! just realized my Clubsub Hoodie was in that bloody car
  6. Location: Auckland, Mt Wellington Yesterday my house was broken into, bunch of stuff looted and then car taken as a means of transport i suspect. They would have found the key for the car in my house as they were rummaging about for valuables. Another reminder to all, specially the Mt Wellington crew. be aware and take security measures. 7. Cheers guys, enough said ill work on getting some sent over.
  8. Yea im about to commit to it and get some sent over but suspension in cars is all new to me so wanting to make sure i get all the facts before going for them. Email communication with MCA below. Thoughts thoughts people who know. Sounds intelligent but i don't want to be baited into buying a product thats worse.
  9. Seems reasonable yea, and nope. Id suggest XC would start at $1900
  10. MCA Blue series 8kg front 7kg rear $1580NZD Landed. thoughts on spring rates, above is the recommended from MCA.
  11. Chur, some convincing testimonies cheers, Just waiting on MCA to get back to me with cost delivered. if too pricey once landed ill probably end up with either BC or Yellowspeed. still silence on the Yellowspeed gear, has anyone ever run them?
  12. Cheers Tony, Have emailed the team at MCA. i wasn't even aware they existed so pretty keen on a local product even if it costs a little extra. Still keen on hearing more about the Yellowspeeds. appear to be very similar as D2 and BC, made in Taiwan etc but some good feedback on some UK/US forums about them.
  13. Did you pickup your D2's from Scarles Andrew? they are basically the same as BC golds yea, same hight and dampening abilities?
  14. Had a brief look around the forum and the odd Google and have gathered some info but some real world experience and advice is always appreciated. Application is Basic street use with the occasional track day and the desire to have hight and ride adjustments. · What have you/are you running? · Known issues with each brand? “I hear Yellowspeed has a better top mount bearing design preventing knocking and are a harder wearing unit in that regard” “also hear BC have a reputation for failing top mounts and knocking etc” “ have next to no info on D2 apart from that they are purple" Any compelling reason I should forget the lot and fork out another k or so to get something more reputable for what im doing?
  15. How many Ks has this car actually done? Strip down the engine you have. throw a set of rings at it and give it a brief once over and single turbo conversion it while you’re at it maybe? Mine is knocking on 200,000kms and runs nicely at 200wkw
  16. PPHhfff Does it work.. I have no idea, i had that idea rite here and now believe it or not. done it with just cuttings of the same plastic. just need to be careful not to burn the plastic and make it bubbly and brittle. best to have someone with the correct knowhow and tools do it for a actual result id say note: carbon monoxide sucks so maybe dont try this
  17. Zip Ties or Soldering iron and weed eater string... both
  18. Its an upgrade from old shuddery ass rotors for sure
  19. One of the most detailed Transmission sheets I've managed to find. http://www.rallispec.com/downloads/Transmission%20ID%20Chart_Public.pdf
  20. Why is it that the only people who know what they are doing at the moment are DTech. It seems insane that someone can hand over that much coin and get a result like this. I’m fairy oblivious and out of the loop when it comes to the tune world but is this just an issue when it comes to tuning Subaru, where are all the Nissan, Evo’s and euro guys getting their tunes? Highly reccomend DTech btw, supper keen to see how the tune goes on the 20th.
  21. I dont see the point or need to wring anything daily driven or anything with no puff up top to 8k but for arguments sake mine hits the limiter bang on 8k. back on topic: how much more exhaust gas would a 2.5 push? The twins in stock form seem to flow pretty good in the higher rpm and with a bit of exhaust work the stock Rev-d VF32/33 setup might go alright on a 2.5 who knows. Still can’t believe its even being discussed though haha
  22. on a more related note.. genuinely interested in this idea. could use a couple of VF32's and fit P18 ex housings for flow? But then you would have to mod the down pipes to fit the new housings.. parallel would make more sense wouldn't it, or keen to optimize this sequential thing Subaru once dreamt up?
  23. Ah yes glad we are on the same thought process. having the turbo placement like that also helps pull the car along
