  1. There's a 3.0 BP Legacy at Pickapart in the Hutt currently. Pretty bad front and side impact, but has a full set of OK looking Bilsteins and interior bits. Pics here: http://imgur.com/a/jfitX
  2. I'm happy to come along and help out with anything. I've done cam belts, clutches etc. My car currently doesn't need anything doing (touch wood).
  3. A VF30, 550cc injectors, exhaust + fuel pump netted me 350Nm + 204KW. Total cost something like $2400 including tune.
  4. Count me in if it's on the weekend. I can bring C spanners that may fit. Shoot me a PM when you know day/time.
  5. You have an STI intercooler yeah? As mentioned above the splitter should match the intercooler, so you should get a STI splitter. One thing, on my V7, I also had to get a STI scoop as well, as the splitter fouled on the scoop plastic. You could just trim the splitter a bit though.
  6. If it's a JDM V7 motor, it will have TGVs. You don't have to keep them, apparently they just help with cold starts. Haven't had experience with the delete kits but people seem to think removing the butterflies and rods can reduce restriction, personally I think the results would be negligible.
  7. It was only $50 off TradeMe. It's worth the money as it takes advantage of the extra surface area on the intercooler, plus you can run a water sprayer setup.
  8. It's called an air splitter. I've got one off a STI on my car currently to fit the intercooler. You should be able to find a STI one to suit, needs to be V7-V9 I think
  9. Has the hole been tapped? Could just throw a bolt in there would be the easiest thing to do, if you're worried about leaks with that solution, you could make a gasket using gasket paper or an old metal gasket. OR, you could buy an AIT sensor and run a badass air temp gauge.
  10. If that quote includes everything like idlers, tensioners, belt, waterpump, seals etc, then yes the quote is reasonable. Best to check what parts the quote includes + if they're genuine Subaru or aftermarket parts.
  11. Me and the misses will be present, Wednesday works best for us.
  12. Can't speak for any of the mentioned companies, but I had a tune on stock V7 WRX ECU done at Speedtech in Wellington. The tune results were good all round and customer service is good too. I believe their tuner Chris is well known in the Wellington area. They used opensource stuff to tune so the ECU is still unlocked. Tune was $1295 all up.
  13. The standard fuel pump COULD deliver enough for 230kW, but it might not last long being worked that hard. Just spend the $300 on the pump instead of the intake hose, unless your current hose is damaged then it won't make much difference.
  14. All done. 14hrs total. Thanks to Graham and Paul for helping out.
  15. Hey guys, Hopefully a few of you remember from the September meet. White V7 hatch, young guy, good looking etc. Anyways, I'll be tackling my first clutch job on Sunday 29th on the car. It will be in the garage on jack stands and I'm looking for some hands/knowledge to help. Beer and pizza provided. I know it's late notice but hopefully someone has no plans and can come help out. PM me and we can arrange. Cheers! Caleb
  16. gngtraders.co.nz. BKR6E and other coppers are $5.85 each. Free shipping on 4 or more plugs.
  17. Threw the car on the Dyno yesterday/today at STM. WRX EJ205, VF30, DW200, 550cc pinks, 3" TBE, STI TMIC. Chris managed to get 204KW and 349Nm @17psi. Very happy!
  18. If you don't want to take the strut out of the car you could try using an air hammer with a blunt chisel end, but you'll probably end up breaking off bits of the collar.
  19. Is there a cap on the radiator and on the expansion tank as well? If so, your Subaru part# is 45119FE000. Use the American parts website (http://parts.subaru.com/default.aspx) but bare in mind their Impreza models are 2ish years behind Japan, so your 2002 WRX is their 2004 WRX etc.
  20. As above start with a genuine Subaru radiator cap. All sorts of weird things happen when your cap is borked.
  21. Marks on the belt are a guide to make it easier to get the alignment right when you first put the belt on. Marks on the cam gears, timing covers and crank gear is the most important.
  22. V7 WRX should peak at 15psi and will probably trail off to 10 soon after because td04. You're probably running wastegate pressure if you're getting 6-7, although I read somewhere that wastegate pressure was 10psi.
