  1. I leave mine on all the time usually. If I need more power for over taking or quick response I flick it over to tiptronic mode. I once tried to drive a whole trip with the Eco light one. Failed as I had to get onto the motorway and couldn't keep it under 3k rpm. Also I felt like a granddad driving on a Sunday afternoon- painfully slow. I haven't tried Eco vs normal for a tank of gas, may try it one day to compare.
  2. I like the bonnet scoop that doesn't match up with the intake. Would be interesting to see if there is even a hole in the bonnet for the scoop But it has a strut brace! Now to get back to some real work
  3. Sweet, will pop in this week and have a chat.
  4. Just bringing up an old thread, but...... Is there anyway to know if your car has had the replacement airbag? I brought my outback last year, but there was nothing to indicate that it had been in to get the airbag rpalced or if its been checked and that the airbag is ok. Can I take it to a dealer to check? will there be something in the system to advise if it has been done? Can I check with LTNZ? Any advice would be good.
  5. There's some thing about red car/brick white rims. Mmmmmmm.
  6. Prices have come down for most registrations. Check out it out here if you haven't already. http://rightcar.govt.nz/m/plate.html My 05 outback is now only $76 a year. The 91 legacy is $148. Not too bad if you ask me.
  7. Could be this guy? but probably not https://www.nzonscreen.com/interviews/david-beatson
  8. Are you able to view the buy/sell page here yet? Or there is the subaru buy/sell page on FB
  9. I always thought it was the opposite- I was told to remove it from the mondeo to help with extra cool air under the car! Every day is a learning day. Do you know how much difference in temp there is, I take theres not a lot you can do while the car is stationary
  10. Ive now got my Aircon directed into the engine bay and keep it blasting on cold! Not really, I don't actually have anything to keep the engine bay cool. Not sure if it will work on Subs but on my mondeo on way was to remove the rubber seal at the back of the engine bay on the plastic bit at the front of the windscreen so it allows excess hot air about while driving (V6 mondeos are bad for not having any room in the engine bay and building up a lot of heat)
  11. I think the price seems a bit steep is because it's selling through a dealer. Does look in good condition and at least you know it hasn't been molested by someone. Not sure if I could bring myself to pay that much for a 94. But from what I've seen for sale lately 190xxx ks does seem on the lower side. I would consider it if you wanted to keep it original, but if you want to modify it I would look for something else.
  12. If you need the OEM parts numbers then put your VIN number (the one stamped on the firewall) into here and will give you all the parts numbers you need https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genuine/locate?c=Subaru+Japan But most suspension shops will be able to let you know what you need
  13. Are you wanting new or used? If used check out Strong for subaru Something like this for second hand sets https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/collections/struts-and-hubs/products/strut-set-legacy-94-98--2 or https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/collections/struts-and-hubs/products/strut-set-legacy-94-99 or https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/collections/struts-and-hubs/products/suspension-strut-set-impreza-king-springs
  14. And those stickers on the back that tell everyone that you have a family!!!
  15. Why do you say this? I used the parcel service and it had a tracking number on it that worked. When I brought an ECU through FB I did have that moment of oh f##k what happens if he doesnt send it! Luckily it was all good and did get it, but was the one and only time I will do it unless I know the person or they live locally and i can pick up
  16. I think my subscription pack may have taken about a couple of weeks, Im not in a hurry and realize that its people doing this in their own time and that it may not happen instantly. Just looking forward to a Clubsub sticker on the Outback as shes looking a bit bare without one.
  17. I order mine last Tuesday, so should be getting them any day now. Will let you know how long it took.
  18. I found it easy enough. Just clicked on the link 'Announcements' at the top of the page and then clicked the link in there to the page. 2 clicks and I was there. Only problem with Reps having them is there will be complaints that they wanted stickers at X meet and the Rep wasn't there for some reason (also it means Reps would have to attend most meets/events which would be quite hard)
  19. Just heard back. Needs new rim and axle $255 all up. Not bad, happy to pay this to get him sorted, will be back on the road tomorrow (i might take a different way in to avoid him) Have to show him not all Subaru drivers are dicks!
  20. Hit a cyclist with it! Luckily there were no major injuries, just some bruises. Hi bike has a buckled back wheel. Was at a roundabout and pulled out but did see the cyclist and knocked his back wheel. Has left me very shaken, as I* know the feeling of being knocked of a bike. Please make sure you check and double check at intersections as I was lucky that this was not worse.
  21. Only if it breaks during normal driving conditions has been maintainedited correctly etc. Porches and BMW will have different clauses in them to subaru and certain cars may be covered at race tracks. The term 'Track ready' is a marketing ploy to help sell cars.
  22. Fair enough reason. Wasn't sure at what stage you were at with it. Not sure if the legacy will be going by then either. Don't think the outback would handle the course too well. Will be going out there to have a look so if you want a ride just let me know. Otherwise might see you out there.
  23. Have now added to the upcoming events page.
