  1. I'm pretty sure I can shift from D, N or R to Park if the car is off.
  2. Worked out I can turn off the engine without turning off accessory power with keyless ignition. Apply parking brake, hit Start/Stop button, then move gear selector to park.
  3. I've had EZ Lip on both of my Legacys. No problems with it. Managed to tear the last one to shreds underneath but it still held on well.
  4. Probably been posted in the past but its worth sharing again: https://youtu.be/S5NWcdq4Wf4 Unfortunately embedding is disabled for this video but it's a 2004 Subaru Forester XT crashing off the side of Angeles Crest Highway.
  5. Damn All those launches and helis sure take their toll. Sounds like you need some skid rims and tyres to save your axles
  6. Car: 2011 Legacy 3.6RTuned: StockFuel: Mobil 98Fuel Economy: Highway 7.8L/100km, City 10.5L/100km
  7. This looks super cool!!! http://www.autocar.co.nz/car-reviews-app/2017-subaru-legacy-sti-sedan 3.6RS with 19" wheels, bigger rear sway bar, flexible front brace, mesh grill, STi exhaust, STi lip, and all designed by Subaru NZ
  8. My BMF is definitely larger, heavier and more 'boaty' feeling than my BEE was. More power too though I imagine they can be made to handle very well though. A touch of anti-roll, bracing and lowering the centre of gravity.
  9. Took it for a bit of a spirited drive on Sunday. Man this thing is heavy compared to the BE. Definitely need to look at a better brake pad/rotor combo than what is on the car currently. Suspension is definitely a bit boaty, might look at a rear sway bar and springs next year. Power wise, man it hauls arse, really enjoyed using the different modes of SI Drive.
  10. I can help if you'd like. Did a lot of research recently. @sobanoodle is a Legacy guru also. Externally you have a few main external visual differences. Pre-facelift and facelift, and then the optional S-Package (basically the SpecB of the BM/BR). Pre-facelift standard: Pre-facelift S-Package - Note the different fog surrounds, lower grill and black internals in the headlights: Facelift - note the different grill (upper and lower) shapes, bumper shape, headlight design: Facelift S-Package - basically the same differences as the Pre-facelift S-Package had but applied to the facelift: The main features to look for are: Media controls (left side of steering wheel) Cruise control (right side of steering wheel) Eyesight (Only an option on facelift) Push button start / keyless entry Interior (Cloth, Split Leather, Full Leather) Headunit (Few options here, LCD, non-LCD, Macintosh) - Note: Even the basic audio packages are really nice (Harmon Kardon as standard). 5AT Auto vs 6spd Manual (for the 2.5GT) Think that's most things covered...
  11. Not sure if it helps but you can have a look at my BMF if you want. I'll be at the December meet or PM me and I'm happy to meet up.
  12. I'm running K117 (Hankook S1 Evo2) on my Legacy. Quite comfortable, not too harsh on stock suspension, plenty of grip. The K115 is slightly cheaper and designed more towards comfort than performance.
  13. I've never understood why people are so obsessed with tinting their lights. They are a safety feature, they other drivers know of your presence and of your intent/action. I follow a Commodore wagon home from work quite often. I now give him plenty of space as I can't tell when his brake lights come on... At the end of the day, you are making your vehicle unsafe and more likely to be pulled over or in an accident. Not worth the risk imo.
  14. Forgot to mention it's not mine. Just saw it on Facebook. I actually walked past it on Monday and Tuesday nights thinking it's a risky thing to leave a GC8 sitting at the roadside over multiple nights. Next thing you know it is stolen... Not surprising unfortunately. Feel sorry for the guy.
  15. Was last seen parked up on Tamaki Drive near Saint Heliers, Auckland. Had "For Sale" writing on the windows. Not mine btw, just sharing to get the message out there. As always, if seen call 111 and report.
  16. Google photos don't work very well, even when in a public folder. I tried it as it was convenient from my phone, but have since moved to Imgur.
  17. Wonder if it's primarily a NZ New issue then. Hard to say without further results.
