  1. @gotasuby Thank you sir! Therefore you would expect them to read the same right?
  2. Interesting, what type of driving are you mostly doing? I'm mainly crawling in AKL traffic so I wonder if I will get similar results...
  3. People who are familiar with Romraider and the 3.0R... (*cough* @Kiwi_Fozze *cough*). What is the difference between A/F Sensor #1 and #2? I'm getting a difference between them in my logs (see graph below which is a pull at WOT) I know the 3.0R has 4 AFR sensors (front and rear on both sides). Just wondering whether this graph is showing a difference between front/rear or left right? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4X2R3HQaipVaW96cU5YYzU5TURiN0hhWDY0OERHdkZhTEFn/view?usp=sharing
  4. $69.95 https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/collections/new-parts/products/subaru-radiator-bleeding-kit
  5. I thought there wasn't anything magic about coolant? Others will know better and I my car isn't high performance so I've just used stuff from SCA in my shitty BH wagon that has leaks when I have needed to top it up. If you are DIYing work out how you are going to dispose of the old fluid first...can't just drop it at SCA/Repco like you can engine oil.
  6. I think the reference to "loading", being in the same sentence as towing, means putting more weight in the care then Subaru has specced the car to handle?
  7. Yup, that's where the smoke is coming out!
  8. Good reminder for me to check in with AJ on how he is going repairing the the leak on my intake chamber!
  9. In Auckland there is a collection program where there are big bins outside Supercheap and Repco you can drop it off at which is super handy, no idea what the deal is in Nelson!
  10. I guess you just need to work out what you can do yourself and what it is worth paying someone else to do. I try and distinguish being "paying for expertise" and "paying for time". I've made a point of learning to do oil changes myself as that is just time. I personally don't feel comfortable touching the trans at the moment, as too much/too little oil can do funny things in auto. Personally I would do oil + upper engine + cabin filter myself. If you do coolant yourself, it's a bitch to dispose of legally from memory (there is another thread on here about that). Brakes/coolant/trans are out of my current comfort zone but at the very least brakes and diff are things I plan on learning to do eventually. And RE cabin filters, it also depends on whether it is an activated carbon one or not. If it is, they are expensive, if it isn't, $70 is way to much.
  11. ask for a breakdown of labour and materials...that you can make sure they two quotes are acutally for the same thing? Do you have an auto or a manual? Flushing auto trans is expensive because of the amount of ATF you use.
  12. Had you bought this sooner you could have taken @Batbaruman's wheels!
  13. If this is where I think it is I had breakfast by there yesterday....
  14. Congrats! You must have a record for number of different posts relating to a single car purchase:p Is this the one from Facebook? Look forward to the garage thread.
  15. AJ told me he was borrowing a smoke machine because they are expensive, I didn't realise he was referring to your car;)
  16. Get a VAGCOM off TradeMe or Ebay. Cheap as chips and you can read codes and reset ECU/TCU.
  17. Just need to have FreeSSM installed on a laptop and a VAGCOM or Tactrix cable. ECU/TCU is simple, just plug in cable, open software, go into ECU or TCU part of FreeSSM and hit "clear memory"
  18. I can confirm that a legacy wagon is great for carseat + pram:) And that blue STI hatch looks hawt!
  19. A wagon eh, why not get a real wagon (aka a Legacy) instead of an oversized hatchback that calls itself a wagon:P
  20. Nice! That's about what I got mine for which I would describe similarly, though sadly it has turned out to be less of a bargain than I thought due to a shitty pre-purchase inspection. Loving the heated seats now that it is chilly:)
  21. FYI, SubaruSpeed.co.nz is Strong for Subaru, it's just their webstore for performance parts.
  22. Wise approach. I'm still ironing out kinks in my car I got at the end of last year (baby getting in the way of car stuff...) so am still yet to do any real upgrades!
  23. Now that our baby is getting older and we need a big seat/are thinking of having one in each car....where did you buy the seat through @sobanoodle?
