  2. Remember the Toyota/Subaru FT-86 supost to bring fun back... only problem is you have to wait for 2 years for them to put it into production light, RWD with a boxer engine and supost to be cheap to buy new
  3. Depends.. If you go by rego it has to be 40years old to fall into classic Others would say about the 30 year old mark What I would call it is a modern classic
  4. Almost every one ive seen has cracks in between the valves... I do not think I have any spare heads... but I will go have a look.
  5. I found the noise not to bad.. that was staying at a motel down beally ave. What I found really annoying was Bloody diesel buses in town with there engines idaling all nite, 10pm till 3am in the morning.
  6. Yup I bet there will now be more high speed police car chases and more people getting hurt in the aftermarth. I hate the term boy racer.. I prefer the term ISR... Illegal Street Racer
  7. I would reuse the head you got on the XT. Because you have the gen 3 motor which is the most devolped of all the EA82s. The heads are better and also produce a bit more power and bit more relible.
  8. OMG YUMY Although the highly anticipated FT-86 is going to be displayed by Toyota, development of the Subaru version is also well under way. Expect to see even more specs in the next 2 years! The 086A sports car is being jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru, for some reason, it will not be displayed in the Subaru booth. Because the mechanical components including the engine and chassis were created by Subaru and the design by Toyota, Toyota was allowed to display the design concept only with Subaru's permission. However, taking a deeper look reveals that the reality isn't so simple. Toyota actually has a significant influence in the mechanical components of this car as well. First, let's take a look at the engine. The car is equipped with the next generation EJ20, which, as mentioned before, uses the same direct port injection engine as the Toyota's D4-S. In addition, it is equipped with 6 speed transmission manufactured by Aisin. On the other hand, Subaru uses this car as a base and improves its sportiness image and is working on creating a "STI version" on their own. There are rumors that it might use a turbo, but taking factors such as the strength of the drivetrain are taken into consideration. Chances are that it will use the next generation 2.5L EJ25 instead. The maximum horsepower will be roughly 240HP-250HP compared to the normal 200HP. The settings around the foot? will attempt to keep the basic characteristics of the car, but with additional tuning to increase the amount of (something)G generated. Of course, the tread and tire size will increase, and the fender shape will be changed accordingly as well. The car will most likely be revealed at the next Tokyo Motor Show in 2011, or the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2012 just prior to its release. What kind of performance can we expect from this wide-tread, wide and low STI version? Our expectations are high! The STI version will be equipped with a wide fender, a specialized front bumper and rear spoiler. Will it also succeed in the world of motor sports? 9. Ive got a couple of questions about this.. Would a earler EJ20 still bolt up to this new transmission? Being this transmission is based on the 5 speed would it mean the gearbox would not be as stong as the earlyer 6speeds? and is the V11 WRX STis still have the older type 6speed or are they also fitted with the new 6speed thats in this new shape legacy?
  10. Ive got some FSM that cover XT/XT6. but go ask on XT site. Im pretty sure 1 of the guys on there has fsm in pdf format or something
