  1. Thats some MEAN Shit right there!!!! Love it
  2. That\'s quite normal for the primary, once it\'s actually up and spooling it should be around that level. Most of the time you never notice it as the rev are going up quickly. Initially it hits around 10psi then around 3000rpm increases to its max.
  3. 4000rpm will be at the switch over point in the twin turbo system. pretty sure when your changing gear at 4 there will be a little boost then once the valve readjusts for the lower rpm it will start to boost again
  4. Auto TT are much easier to work with when it comes to VOD. the main thing you need to do is learn where it is and how to drive around it. I really have any issues with it now as I know how the system kinda works and how to drive the car to get what I want out of it. Each revision of the BH/BE slightly changed its VOD and got much better by the time it got to REV c and D. I personally love the pull I get when I want to pass with the two turbos blasting away and then being able to just cruise with good fuel consumption. Well pretty good open road sits around 10L/100km
  5. Detonation, the uncontrolled burning of the fuel air mixture. Causes massive and rapid pressure build up in the cylinders and prolonged detonation can lead to engine failure. This is common in the 98-02 legacy imports from Japan as they are turned to run 102 octane. Run 98 in nz closest we have and if in heavy traffic on a hot day don\'t push car too hard. Detonation sounds like a ping ping noise.

  7. Hardest part of replacing the knock sensor was getting the intercooler back on!
  8. hey happy to have a look and talk to you about it, when i got mine i had similar problems. mine didnt cost too much a new knock sensor and a good clean on the inside with upper engine cleaner and the ICV cleaned
  9. search for legacy radio install there are pictures in one of them that show all the locations of the screws
  10. should be ok unless there is actually knock going on, you will notice a higher fuel consumption though.
  11. Check the code yourself to see what it is and then go from there.
  12. I have a rev c gtb and could meet up and see the difference/issue u are having with yours if your keen. In theroy urs should be slightly better due to a newer ecu
  13. Make sure you are only using 98 octane on it as well. Def go for spark plugs and good clean out with upper engine cleaner
  14. others have had this problem before, in the US i think Subaru replaced this part for free as they had so many issues. it's not cheap to get fixed either due to the location of the fuel rails.
  15. where in the country are you from flange? if you around chch you can come around and ill show ya what mine goes like stock and u can see what VOD is and give you a few tips on what to look for?
  16. The rocker cover gaskets with age harden and start leaking straight into the exhaust manifold. Bitch of job to replace as well. Easy to tell if it is leaking drive the car and get it hit u will smell the oil burning. As for the fuel consumption I would say its ok depending on how u drive it. Open road I get 10l/100km around town 12.5l/100km
  17. I agree with dstyle on the rev d model. However I got a tidy rev c and have had no problems with it other than a knock sensor that was broken. Make sure you get what ever one you chose fully checked over by someone that has worked on these cars as they can tell you exactly what you could be in for.
  18. awesome video comparing the different versions of WRX and Evo in japan.
