  1. The Oil company I work for sells Brent crude for $114 a barrel. It costs them about $35-40 a barrel to produce. They make 2-3 exports a week with an avg export ship taking about 350000 barrels. Who says oil is dead.....
  2. The following year when it blew up again, we were heading up the Tukino road on a school trip. We all wanted to stay, teachers wanted to high tail out.
  3. In 1995 it was right at the start of the Ski Season. 2 seasons in a row. Think the SKi feild got a small bail out from the Goverment. I remember havnt to wash the Ash off everything couple times a day.
  4. Dont forget that safety comes first...........................Long as it doesnt cost money or interrupts production.
  5. That the project I work on has had a cost blow out of $5 Billion. Might be no Xmas bonus this year haha.
  6. I finding it hard to understand why people got to all sorts of these dodgy places looking for the "easy WOF" We all know of misinterpretation of rules that testers have at times, but having a vehicle(and knowing of)which could be less conforming safety wise and going out of your way to have it passed, is criminal.
  7. Most of the "5-Star" alarms straight out of the box are crap. Add to the fact they arent install very good and on the cheap. No-one wants to pay $400+ to do a proper install. Just another Insurance money making venture. GPS, lock in a alarm garage and chained to the floor still wont stop it being stolen. Its a Question of when, just like Death and Taxes.
  8. I had one of those on my old V9.... OEM Prodrive one aswell. The owner after me took it off and ran it gangsta no wing style
  9. Wasnt the JDM Legacy Rev A~C 8.5 and Rev D 9.0?
  10. The HID\'s should stay on all the time, and the high beams (normal bulbs) turn off and on via its own relay.
  11. Wasnt there a V7 Spec C which didnt come out with HID\'s? (Gravel Spec??) With a Factory conversion the powered height adjusters are the tricky bits. I read somwhere where powered height adjustment is a legal requirement. (or maybe just another internet urban legend) *NB In Aussie you have to have powered height adjustment and/or washers on HID lights to be legal. And I can confirm that the V11 STi has both.
  12. Sounds like a dead short in wiring
  13. Should of just moved the B-pillars back more and lenghten doors. Would of been much better. Still Very good job none the less. looks like a toy car...
  14. Going back a few years ago (or more to the point a few forum meltdowns ago), a member on here replaced the ECV with a custom made butterfly type valve. He was also trying to change profile on how the valve would open. He stopped posting progress reports and never been seen since.
  15. Subaru has to many X-over vehicles now. Forester, XV, Outback, Tribeca. No real Performance versions anymore, and no real 4x4 Subaru. S.Y.S.O
  16. Look out for some full leather seats at wreakers or somthing.
  17. I did some testing with my own test gear with a number of different gauges. Autogauge and a couple of other "Supercheap specials" had errors. Autometer, VDO, somne old school Trust, HKS maunal gauges were spot on. I did a couple of Defi boost/oil gauges and one eletronic GReedy (all I had access to) One Defi had an error around the 15psi (was about .5 psi out) but others all good. The Autometer Liquid filled gauges are the best manual ones, Any Bling Bling ones like Defi are good to.
  18. Front LSD standard. Autos had Triptronic, (which wasnt OEM on other models from memory) Different shock/spring rates. Rev.C had full leather factory. Sony Bliltzen Sound system. Zero Engine difference. and yes, bumpers and wheels I did some mods to my Blitzen, Member Carbon on here has blitzen with some mods too.
  19. Maybe invest in a Line hone and do a measure up before rebuild
  20. Yes common in some of the earlier 4G63 if they lose oil to the head due to poor servicing. (even the early SR20, but they would snap the cam or just grind them down to nothing) All Caps go back in right way? did you "polish/clean" the cam before you put but in? Was timing belt loose or marks not line up before you pulled down for inspection after failure? Did you Plasti-gauge your bearings?
  21. No. Different AFM, Few sensors, wiring loom, Pin-outs etc etc. Be on the Lookout for a Zerosports/Symms/Mines ECU. Or Piggyback...
