  1. why didnt you go for the manual gearbox? just curious (re the mitsy)
  2. This is only a month away now! c'mon club subbers jump in! Flatnats and Dirty ol BC will be there representing also so plenty of family will be there ^_ ^
  3. I ment nay for me as in nay for my rs having an aftermarket bodykit - have seen some, factory bodykit on the rs is sweet as is imo
  4. aftermarket ones? nay for me
  5. Yes expensive, but hey its one of my many crazy dreams you only live once, believe me ive had lots of thoughts of "maybe i should have started with an sti" but theres something about how worn out/rough/dirty the bc5 is that i love, and after having it on the track, well im just addicted now I guess, there needs to be some "racetrack anonymous" meetings lol just realised they would be "R.A" meetings hahaha ---- as for your boost easing off, id defo rekon its your ecu, with all those sensors, it knows what its doing, be surprised if its a boost leak but hey maybe, tbh 18psi sounds high for factory boost but ive never driven an sti
  6. Just curious, what boost controller are you using? or are you on the factory? pretty sure its normal for factory ecu to ease off the boost pressure in the high revs anyway. My td05 was its healthiest (or erm.. power creating/boost/det efficiency) at 16.9psi on my factory block, creating 187kW AFTER the tune on the g4 link. if you include the cost of work I did to it to get it ready for dyno (incl link g4 and tune) it was in the vicinity of 6-7k. So thats really good power imo considering you havnt had the full tune yet? This next lot of mods im doing is est. 10-15k, im already 10k deep, and with the new rays wheels add another 2k on that, and my heads are likely to be 3-4k, then another tune ontop of that. so already blowing the budget LOL, but that also includes my brakes, killer clutch and pretty much everything being replaced with hi-quality parts. Im really really looking forward to my next tune results
  7. Mate these are good results! pat that car on the back! ^_ ^
  8. Not normally the style of wheels id go for, but irl they are dead sexy, super light, rays, and in perfect condition Brand: Rays Engineering Style: Homura Size: 18x8 Offset: 43p PCD: 5x100 | 5/100 Colour: Dark Gunmetal Metallic
  9. Been drooling over these for the last few days, decided to grab one and see if it fits, turns out it clears the brembos! the guards are a different story, with some camber and abit of guard rolling should be sweet, worse case scenario I put them up for grabs on here Anyway grabbed them Getting wrapped in average quality tyres - gonna use my v7 wheels as dedicated track wheels so I can get some real nice track rubber put on them facebook image upload 18x8 ^^^
  10. Hahaha yeah I saw nealy no jappas in Netherlands, did you see all the mini cars?? I dont mean mini the brand, in netherlands there were tonnes of like 2seater cars that were tiny as, looked like so much fun, of course straight away I imagined building one with a turbo hayabusa engine but of course someone else has already done it Straight gangsta
  11. Where abouts out west? if its near me ill do it, im in laingholm, which is west auckland but its no where near places like... west gate etc
  12. This sentence made me lol, very good humor The rest i did not read
  13. Sounds the same as my v7 wheels and my brembos, the fronts have like 1mm clearance, what brakes are you running?
  14. Nice, dang +33 wouldnt be good for me, so hard to find a good looking aftermarket set with +50-+55 offset, on top of that fitting over brembos lol, the rear guards in the bc5 go straight up, so no alot of wiggle room, maybe 15mm with the guard rolled, i always like at least 1/2 the tyre covered by the guard in the rear, if I could have it my way id have the whole tyre covered lol
  15. Yo these are tasty! what be the name of them? what size did you go for mayne? offset etc details please - also, those brakes look pretty gnarly as well, rekon they will fit over brembeezys? - also excuse the bad english i dont know why i just typed like that :B
  16. Well yes and no, if you just put a FMIC onto your car, you will have a FMIC on your car - you may feel slight gains in power but at the same time they could be imaginary. If you get a FMIC and then get it tuned, you will have a FMIC on your car and also whatever power gain you get when upgrading from a TMIC and also the gains from the tune itself I saw a post on PBMS awhile ago where they tuned a later model WRX which had no modifications, and they were able to get an extra 35kW more than the factory setup ATW
  17. I would have loved to have only paid 1200 for a tune lol fmic and full exhaust will be sweet, leave intake alone imo after the mods you could just get a dyno run and check a/f etc that way you'll know it's safe while you save up for the tune, power will come after the tune, I used to think I'd never get a car tuned as it was too expensive, but I would spend 1000s on parts that didn't do jack S*** to the performance because the tune is what unleashes the power of the mods and it makes car cooler by 1000%
  18. also, just to add so you can get a scope of the strength of our old ej20g when i was a young fella I used to run them completely stock, with boost @ 20psi and map sensor unplugged so it didnt boost cut (terrible for the engine, i do not do this any more lol) Never had any problems other than blowing a few turbos, factory longblock never gave up in multiple cars
  19. Yeah normally this is true but hes installed the ecu and the turbo the car is ment to run, so everything is still 100% technically Your exhaust will be helping your turbo loads, hence the extra psi as evowrx said, if your car is running good then its likely your o2 sensor is doing its job Enjoy the extra 2psi, imo nothing strange there the vf8 you'll need an aftermarket ecu if you want to tune it, pretty sure our old ecus cant be changed and had and ecu with a speedlab chip in it, it was ok but have heard stories that all the chips are S*** as the tune doesnt suit the car its just copied and pasted 1000s of times
  20. Looks like they are featuring every car that signs up But still feels specials inside ^_ ^
  21. Pretty sure they tap out with a nail punch and a good wack, do the same with a shock at pickapart/ swap it in and bobs your uncle
  22. All I got was some guy in his garden installing grass edging, lol am I missing something or are you guys disgusted by grass ?
  23. omg that engine - i actually saved that picture + will try make mine look that tasty
