I have a strong feeling that was my car from my sig. Reason I spent so much time looking for problem and not fixing was because that car scared the shit out of me so I hardly ever fed it any power. Was just a "practical four door family car" for when the Weasel was a toddler.

And if it didn't work, just get a bigger bar. I have a piece of Dexion racking brace (like from warehouse and supermarket shelving) that I slip over the handle of a 1/2" drive. A 1.3 meter power bar is great for cracking those nuts.
Dunno if OP has sorted yet but I just picked up a Pioneer dual 4 Ohm voice coil sub from Supercheap for $75. Last years model so its half the price of the current svc 12" its sitting next to.
And as for amps, check out Jaycar's Response amp range. $375 for a genuine 1000 WRMS. Price comparison, Sony charge $1 per watt, fusion $1.20 per watt and jaycar at 37¢ per watt! If you ignore a deal like that, imo, you are just an elitist brand white

My theory is if SR will fit, 1UZ will fit but if you think it can remain AWD, you are either dreaming or loaded and prepared to spend the amount of coin on conversion that could've bought the R8 you went in.
