  1. Sweet as. Just wanted to make sure from that side of things. Must only be a aus and USA problem
  2. Hi, As read in Auz and USA forums, the forester GT and some models in the states have found a restrictor type unit in the centre pipe in the exhaust system. Just wondering if anyone has chopped up their exhaust system and confirmed that here in NZ (being Jap models) they do not have these? Im not so worried about downpipe and the cat (as this has been removed- most logical step) but somewhere in the centre pipe there is what looks like a factory subaru mini resonator or muffler. Could this possibly 'house' this? Anyone removed that and swapped it for another reso/cherrybomb/coby? Cheers
  3. Lol it sounds hella better in the 'after' but he didnt rev hold like he did in the first one. Plus, the turbo spool sound is win win
  4. I wanna make me one of these handsome ones
  5. ^^ its mainly a USDM thing. Hence exhaust manufacturors from the States will all say they have them. In Nz we arent so strict with the regulations so its not so bad.
  6. ^ hes right.. I opened my 6s to have a cheeky peek and it seems i only have one board.
  7. Crinkle red cover on the manifolds can crack and peel off leaving bare grey ones. But in saying that- there isn't much difference between the two... Also don't get confused with information from USA forums as they received a different batch of engine setups compared to JDM/ nz
  8. ^ what he said. Early Wagon and forester ejs we're called ej20g even tho they were pretty much ej20ks. Only obvious difference was the turbo - td04
  9. Sh!te that sounds extreme ^! Kinda reminds me of a guy who's car ran gull fuel and it ate thru his line.
  10. Hopefully it isnt a copy or a faulty controller
  11. Maybe you wired the accessory and power over incorrectly for it not to store. For example: red is 12v access and yellow is 12v constant (don't quote me on that)
  12. Lol laugh if you had tuned headers and a full system cause 'in some cases' they get rid of the deep rumble
  13. Blocked filter sock? Incorrectly fitted fuel pickup?
  14. Ok, just to make it clear. You already have sti shocks and springs though you just want to lower it. You are willing to give up ride comfort for road handling. Are you able to get sway bars and the such strut bracing. Imo, springs on their own will be a good fix for the meantime but inevitably be just a waste of money if you want to get adjustables in the end. What is your budget for adjustables (if you were allowed them). It makes a big difference as there are other options available. Are damper adjustables allowed? I.e not ride height? An example could be Teins as they come lowered already as the shock body is larger hence the ability to damper slightly better but only are damper adjustable which can give you a firmer ride. (Scarce items though) Or are they so picky you cant have any form of adjustable. If you are keen, you could always go get the replacement Kyb setups which is OEM replacement but can be configured to your own requirements. (Shock shops can advise you of other brands that do it, i.e bilstein, tein) None adjustable shocks but straight out of the box newer/stiffer/ etc then get corresponding springs to your liking fit to them.
  15. Yes its genuine and you can get them.. I have only seen 1998 upwards too. All black or all white tho. They come with the fog light covers, the garnish in the middle and a slight kit to the rest. From memory they only released them in small numbers due to demand. Though it isnt exactly hard to upgrade the foz to have sti running gear
  16. They fit it all you don't do a thing
  17. In the end - go with what you want/ feel.
  18. I thought mechanical warranty was only for parts on the engine and corresponding. Suspension and brakes not included
  19. All the best. Let us know what comes up. Something seizing ain't a good thing
