  1. Have 18x8.5 +44 on my 04 wagon, have no issues. Got the guards rolled as a precaution as I was told I might have rubbage but it's nowhere near. Also have 215s on there but am waiting for them to wear out so I can go 225. To much stretch for my liking. Running Tein Super Streets.
  2. You running 18x8.5? I'm looking at dropping down to 18" as they are much cheaper for tyres and offer more sidewall for rim protection etc
  3. As for brakes, I recommend the Brembo set all around! A bit of a pain because the rear calipers need adapters and you need custom rear rotors with a 170mm handbrake drum instead of the 190mm STI handbrake drum. I'm sitting on stock bilsteins and Prova springs with 18x8.5 + 46 with no rubbing what-so-ever. I find it a nice good setup!
  4. Ra-r runs 18x8.5 +53 No evidence of any guard work, but I also don't know how it compares to a normal sedan.
  5. Yep will definately fit, Will upload some pics tomorrow of some fitted up in the states and 1 on a wagon Here. We have both 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 to suit either fitment style
  6. so 1 month out till I can buy a car. these two are on the top of my list (assuming their both there) both IMO seem a little over priced thoughts. GC = http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=673825983 BC = http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=696217414 now I know the wrx will be faster but you cant get away from how good that old legacy looks in black. remembering I will be adding a tracked alarm sounds (by Sound Q) and my gold 18x8.5 Rota g force (on the wrx I would probably plastidip them black - thoughts on this too) and my OZ racing Adjustable suspension. The wheels on either car are not important and will probably be sold. also I am NOT building a track car this is for weekend cruising and road trips. Fuel economy need not apply. If you see anything I have missed sing out. budget for the car is about 9K but I want to get the above mods in that figure. ish
  7. Hi Guys have just sold my BC Fwd Ej20 (twin cam) kept my Adjustable Oz Racing suspension and my 18x8.5 Rota G force. im looking for something a bit faster (not daily driven anymore) I do lots of road trips not a track machine. love finding a back road and feeling the limits of the car. I loke the look of the BC especially the idea of the type ra. what are opinions on that vs a say V3 or V4 sti GC or perhaps an STi Ra. please back up your opinions with a reason.
  8. Nice buy for $15k. Did you get your wheels sorted ? Looking at your pic, it came with 16's ? The staggered factory options were: 17"; F 17x7.5" 225/45-17, R 17x8.5" 245/40-17 18"; F 18x8" 225/40-18, R 18x8.5" 255/35-18
  9. Correct, 7 weeks. Finishes are: Bronze (pictured) White Yamaha Black Hyper Black Please note, this colour can change quite a bit depending upon which amount of light it is under. Anyone that has purchased any of our wheels can vouch for the finishes in real life. Sounds like this is the best option for you, either way we have you covered. The 17x8 Grid will be much lighter than that of the 18x8.5 or 18x9.5 options. Kind regards
  10. I believe so, yes. They clear Brembo's on the later model Sti's, unsure if this will change on a Gc8? Happy to arrange a trial fit if need be [quote name='ballsrburning said: how long will the 100 dollar off offer last? bloody engine rebuild i really want these now, interested in the 18X9.5 gold rota grids. /quote] We'll keep it running for a short while want to keep a good relationship with CS - We have on their way a 17x8 +44 Rota Grid I trust this will solve all your issues? If not, and you're after something wide but not crazy wide the 18x8.5 Grid will be one of your best bets to still retain a better sized tyre for racing and less guard modification. Also have some other styles which you will be very interested in, due in 7 weeks. One in particular is the Rota MXR: Plenty of different colours coming including gold/polished lip, hyper black/polished lip, matt bronze/anodized bronze lip, flat black/anodized bronze lip. 18x8.5, 18x9.5 in 5x100. Have some more suprizes for you all too. I can also confidently say that within the same price range almost, if not all of our wheels will be lighter than our competitors when comparing wheels with the same specs e.g. 18x8.5 vs 18x8.5 etc. Any other questions or enquiries please fire away! Hi so those 17X8 rota grids will be in around 7 weeks time, that would be cool what finishes are they available in prefer bronze. Quite like the rota mxr too but maybe the 17's are best for racing then, enough people seem to be telling me the same thing, both inside and outside this forum. :-\ i take it, it's ok to test fitment before i buy?
  11. Yes we can do pickups, (or free delivery within Auckland, you choose) I believe so, yes. They clear Brembo's on the later model Sti's, unsure if this will change on a Gc8? 12. And here's mine: 2005 3.0R, Rotiform INDTs in 18x8.5 with 225/45/18 on Bilstein and 'low' springs.
  13. Nascar D-slots in matt black!!! be really....umm..different.... Only thing with alot of those sexy JDM wheels, the Subaru width and Offset doesnt make them look as nice. you going to have toplay with the width/offset to get that nice disc look I had Prodrive (RAYS) GC010G\'s 18x8.5 on my V9, added some blue RAYS wheel nuts and really set them off.
  14. Matt did you have any guard rub with out the adjustables??? did your fronts rub on the inner guard??? I got some 18x8.5 wolfs to go onto my b4 and am wondering what I got to do to mine.
