The dude put strut brace on my cert plate, didnt do my relocated battery or bov , he did put on FMIC, adjustables, wheel size and gearbox (thats just a standard section on the plate) ,

the thing is that 99 percent of people wouldnt know if its bolt on that the brakes are bigger, abs has been removed etc...

They dont put it all on the plate as not enough room majority will go on the paper sheet you get to keep in the car

ABS removal, put that on there, you never know, some vtnz guy may notice and then you may be held up for weeks trying to find out if its ok or not. anything strange and funky i would get on the plate.

List everything you can on the sheet, and if the dudes a good guy try to word it openly ie i have wrx seats in my foz, certed as aftermarket race seats or something so i can put different seats in later. also my steering wheel was certed as a momo sports steering wheel..... but it's the standard momo wheel

i got certed on everything including strut braces, wrx steering rack, gauges, tints, exhaust (although mine wasn't certed for noise),

the cert guy will put the plate on a week after the check, takes a week to get the plate, he can put it where you like, just needs to be accessable and easy to find in wof, i was told next to the spare wheel is popular if you don't have room in the engine bay.

oh true? he seemed like a real good dude, he was still doing certs a month ago when my flatmate saw him.

i don't see them as being dodgy, just smart, seats can be changed pre cert without needing a cert but after you can be pulled up because they arn't certed, seems stupid to me, same with wheels, my flatmate failed a wof because he put standard wheels on but was certed for 19's.

the wheels are certed so the high stays the same as smaller wheels will bring you closer to the ground? for the low volume side of things.

maby total diamiter would be the way to go or something lol

A Cert is need for the following.........

Adjustable suspension

Exhaust (db) - A seperate Exhaust noise cert is needed in some cases

Manual conversion

Re-located battery (in boot) ?

Wheels 17x8

4 pot front calipers & rotors ?

ABS removal ??

New WOF law for exhaust systems come into affect as of 1st april 2010 also....

Anything deemed to be considerably louder than factory has to be tested and pass the specified db limits....

from memory, 4cylinder vehicles are alowed 92db @ 4000rpm now (Where as the earlier law was 95db at 4000rpm)

tbh not much has changed from the old WOF testing laws, but it kinda gives police more power to enforce the rule....

If you need any more info PM me and i can contact you. Im a WOF inspector and have also been thro this interesting experience to say the lest haha..

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
