RUNNING LEAN ???

got the car running last night and have finally wired up all the gauges and it seems that she running lean under boost, seems ok when just cruising but as soon as i boost it im getting the warning light off the A/F gauge and its reading lean...

its a V1 WRX gf8 and mods are

chipped ecu, td05h, front mount ,yellows , 500hp walbro and only running 10psi (on stnd exhaust)

would the split fuel rail mod cure this or is it something else???

any idea's

You got a new fuel pump?

Mine fuel pump was running fine off boost but when you got onto it the flow rate dropped drastically.

Was just the old original pump and was giving up, so got a new Walbro one, problem solved.

yea forgot to mention ive also got a 500hp walbro (genuine one from our sponsor)

was told it was for a vf22/yellow tops/orange air flow/front mount on a 3' exhaust (i think)

and im running td05h/yellows/green air flow/front mount on a stnd exhaust

it raises the usual cut offs ive had it in the car for a while now and it was running sweet

but recently installed A/F gauge and its showing lean when im boosting

Yeah thats quite a critical component for the engine to figure out how much air it's ingesting and if the chip is supposed to be for an orange sticker one, don't you think that would be a necessary purchase?

yea startn to think so, looks like i might have to upgrade engine loom then, or can the orange sticker plug be wired on to the V1 loom somehow?

yea what im thinking...altho she wont start again as i think some how the fuel pump keeps getting earthed out ???

a v1 ecu chipped for v3 injectors and v3 AFM ? thats pretty specific, you will need to modify the afm plug to fit the Orange one if it was infact tuned to run one.

i cant think of any other looms mods you'd require
