Corbeau Race Seats??

Anyone used these before or know who sells them in NZ??

Seem to be the only brand that make a seat wide enough for my fat ass.

Sorry, not sure who does Corbeau, but have you tried Racetech? A mate of mine (who is quite large) got some Racetech 4000XW (Xtra Wide). They seemed to be quite roomy.... might pay to give them a call and get some measuremnets to see if they are suitable (would most likely be cheaper than Corbeau too).

Came with the car, and just been Jean shopping, apparently I am a 34R (around 97?) drivers side is snug - passenger feels a little tight if I try to sit there...

Thanks Tony , Have looked at the 4000WX and dont think ill fit in ( yes im rather big ) the corbeau is 90mm wider than the racetech and even with freight from the US is several hundred cheaper .

Only thing is I cant find any reference to what standards they comply to. ........ more searching I guess

OK, sweet as. The Corbeau seats I have seen are FIA compliant, a few of the local rally guys around my way use them (but they are the carbon/kevlar backed ones so probably big $$$). When I bump into 1 of them next I will ask where they get them from (there must be an NZ distributor...).

Sparco Evo III is a very wide seat... my fat ass attests to it! lol

I'm a big boy, tall too, Racetech make the only seat I've tried that fits properly.

RT4009WTHR = Wide Tall Head Restraint. Its about $1400

from memory its the only one they make thats tall enough for the harness slots, so the harness comes through the seat just the right height.

If you dont want the head restraint, they can custom make one from the same base mould and cut the head restraints off before they pad and upolster(sp?) it.
