TD06 is supposed to be a bit laggy on a 2.0L, better suited to the 2.5L block. If you're around central Auckland sometime, I can show you what a TD05 18G is like.

Thats not always the case and the reason is other things need to be done to over come that, the yellow sub i did in that speacial nzpc mag ::) runs alot bigger td06 than that making full boost at 3800 and over 380kw wheel.

Combos is what makes it and a single bolt on isnt always going to do that for you, thus why a catologe car doesnt garrentie you big performance.

Heads and cams are the main source for power in a sub, that combo is worth gold

probably not a problem for 4th gear on a dyno, but i don't imagine the car has a quick quarter mile time to its name yet?

It ran a 10. It was a feature comment on the cover. Think it was a high ten.

10.84 from memory

i would have to ask the owner before i could give the details being asked, now in saying that the turbo setup i did for speedsource ver 8 also did a 10 and you wouldnt believe me if i told what it had for a turbo but i will say its was mainly a vf unit

Update: Well the wizzing noise that started this thread after much investigation ended up being something simple - a loose clamp on the intercooler.

But: Since the turbo is already out and does have some play it is off to Steve tomorrow for refurbishment. We'll see what magic he can work with it!

The scary thing is that if you'd paid Subaru megabucks to replace your turbo, and the noise went away because they tightened the clamp when they put the new turbo in, you'd be unnecessarily out of pocket. Assuming of course that the turbo still had some life left in it, of course....

Update 2: Today I met with the God of Turbos who measured the play on my shaft (turbo shaft that is) to be only 2 thousands of an inch. Equivalent to that of a new turbo. So from a week ago having to get a new turbo, to a few days ago being able to repair it, to today having a turbo in as new condition, it has been quite a week... Now all I need to do is get mine put back in.

Thanks Steve. Appreciate your honesty and incredible knowledge. Will highly recommend.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
