Car Troubles & Garage Recommendation

Hi all,

Been having some major issues with my car, which started with some surging and rough running and throwing the AFM CEL code.

I replaced the AFM and the car is still buggered.

With my limited skills and tools Im throwing in the towel and need a garage to take it to

What's the best garage in wellington to take it? Close to CBD would be preferable

one of us can has a squiz at it for you chap?

what are the other major problems?

is the AFM you put on as a replacement a known good working item?

did you clear the cells when you replaced it?

Yeh? That could be cool!

AFM was bought off of trademe and according to seller was working when removed. Unsure of how to tell for sure though.

Didn't clear the CEL code, started car up when I replaced it and was still running rough and seemed to be unburnt petrol coming out the exhaust.

Tried to start it again last night and the battery/car alarm are fairly dead. Is in far worse shape, could be related to car alarm though. CEL was flashing constantly and a ticking noise coming from somewhere in the dash, couldnt trace the noise. Engine would not turn over

And to make matters worse someone has kindly left a huge dent in the front bumper while it has been sitting there grrr

yikes.. well first thing is you need to have power - and clear the code - it might be a perfectly fine AFM.

it might fix it for you simple.
