What model is it? Powerplant is their only good model.

They are usualy pretty well priced and go pretty hard. I had 2 15"s and two of their D class monoblock amps in my old car.

Was loud as fuck. Never had any problems with them.

Yeah if it's a Powerplant model then should be fine. And yes, getting a 4 channel amp is fine for the general consumer as well. But you will get more power by running seperate amps.

And the SD / USB unit is a good compromise, as long as you aren't planning on using an iPod. If you are, get a headunit that the model number ends in IB. It will be full-speed ipod control and come with the proper cable which costs $100 otherwise.

On the amp. Comes down to how serious you are with it.

One amp of 1000w or more will provide you enough grunt. 12-1400w will dominate and start pushing the limits of a 1200w sub prbably. Based on RMS figures, not wattage.

The amp i have is pumping the rms limit of the Sony sub...so it might not last long but i dont have it cranked all the time.

Good luck... iv'e got one of those cheap shit sony xplode hexagonal red subs in the garage.. it's only a pusser (1200w max) and soundz like turd, i have put 500watt RMS power though this thing for years trying to intentionally kill it... it still lives!!

Now running a single 12inch Inifinity (300watt RMS - and thats a real 300w RMS too) - sounds awsome, as punchy as a 10inch with all the down low too..

Just on the 'Reactor' subs... i brought a 10inch Reactor from the Warehouse bout 5 yrs ago, the speaker itself is a nylon material and is silver, has chrome frame... not as cheap looking as the ones out now.. and to be honest, it cranks for the $70.00 i paid for it... i put it in a boom tube, still goes now - you would be suprised on the sound quality... woulden't touch the ones out now though...

Thanks for all the input guys I know pretty much exactly what I should be doing now :)

Has anyone used the fusion bass tubes like this one?

I like the idea of the whole "plug and play" thing and would mean I could run a smaller two channel amp under the seat which would almost work out cheaper, and for a wagon I rekon the bass would be easily heard from the back am I right? Anyone tried these at all?

if i was you, i wouldnt put the amp under the seat. it has heat sinks for a reason and under the seat is asking for a fire

I used to have one in my Jeep Wrangler- just fit in the back behind the rear seat, so it was perfect. sound was fine. in fact, you're welcome to it if you want it. I have the tube and the remote bass adjust, but i'm missing the power and the rca cable. hook those up yourself and you'll be good to go.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
