ey people has any body had any feed back regarding the guy thats doing fully reconed motors for wrx legacys

for $1498 as it seems really really cheap!

doesnt use genuine subaru gaskets which keeps price right down.

I've had alot of stuff done at his workshop. He's been doing alot of rebuilds now too.

One of the cheaper places around.

Why dont you talk to him bro, make sure you list what you want and get him to qoute it out.

Those engines are listed to apeal to a particular market, it doesnt mean he wont customise a solution for you.

doesn't seem that cheap.. not bad, but I've rebuilt quite a few twin turbo ej20's now well only with stock pistons and it hasn't been that much.. but then again it's not too extreme, also depending on what brands they use could be alright

hi just had my legacy rebuilt buy him and installed seems to run ok dont notice any power increase like he claims. a day after getting it back both rocker covers are leaking and they didint tighten up 1 of the pulleys which i have just noticed. it was mm's from flying off.

not very impressed considering i had askedabout him on here and also asked him if he was going to do a good job.

anyway theres my answer for you. take it or leave it 8)

so basiclly i should be redoing the rocking cover gaskits before dropping motor in

I've seen this fella on there too and was wondering how he was doing it soo cheap, it worries me that the majority of the engines are the same internally - I thought non sti wrx would have differnet compression ratios, crank ect than the likes of a GTB engine? If they were decent build it'd alomost be worth tucking one away in the garage for a rainy day (or a beb day lol)

If thats the case i wouldnt touch them with a 10foot pole....cant be a very good mech if cant even tighten a pully .

even expensive mechanics make mistakes. i think he offers 6 month warranty on his engines

I'd have to agree with that comment. I've seen some really good work come out of his shop.
