http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Subaru/Engines/auction-305706133.htm

will they be better than the factory unequal length??; i know i won't have the suby rumble by using equal length but i want them for a better exhaust flow.

They are Factory equal length with the heat shielding removed. With the up pipe being the only modification.

Have you done a Single turbo conversion? If not then they will be of no use to you.

If you have, then for $250 I'd being saving up for one of the many various Equal length offerings available.

Yup, V8 twin scroll headers. You'll need a new sump, oil cooler, and pipe from the oil cooler to the waterpump too.

I would get them but they're in the wrong island. I have a sump here waiting for a set of those headers....

So what are you going to do about an up-pipe then?

Do you have a factory oil cooler on your engine? If so, you need to get a twin scroll cooler, pipe etc as the headers foul on the earlier type coolers.

so all these would need to be done to fit them to a version 7?

Will be using a different up-pipe, and yes have a factory oil cooler (V4 STi). So you think I'll have to change oil cooler an pipe?? ???

Yup, you won't get the headers on if you don't.

Just out of interest, what up-pipe will you use? I've been looking for a twin scroll to single up-pipe for ages.

Nope, those are definitely twin scroll headers, with a twin to single scroll up-pipe.

That oil cooler will work as long as it's from a 2L. The 2.5's run the old style headers, like you have now.

yeah, sorry funky. i was referring to him having the twin scroll headders as then, he could swap out single scroll turbo for something larger.

I can't see a deal in this..

$250 for a setup that unless he is handy with a set, he will have to pay to have it made to suit. Not including the sump etc.

When for another $250 he could easily have his pick of 2nd hand aftermarket EL headers.

could bolt on a nice twin scroll turbo, or get a custom uppipe built to suit a singe scroll turbo. I just i just rate the factory v8 headers as top shelf and you can hardly find them anyway.

V8 would be the best of the factory offerings. But only worth it if you had a half cut or all of the conversion parts.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
