Legacy B4 Can't erase OBD Fault code 61, 62, 65, 67

Hi all :)

I've recently had a problem with my alternator (the car started to die when I was on the motorway.. barely managed to get the car to a safe place) and changed the alternator. Seems like the battery was flat and the alternator was working flat out to charge the battery! Alternator was getting really really hot and the output voltage was 13.2 at first when I wasn't running anything other than the essentials (the flat battery was 550CCA Century brand).. anyways now after couple of hours of idling the voltage is showing 13.9v even though it drops to 13.2 when I have headlights (xenons) and fog lights on... sounds ok, right?

The problem is, just before the car started to die, CEL came on and when I checked the code (by connecting green and black plug) after changing the alternator the code was 61, 62, 65, and 67. I just assumed this was triggered because there wasn't enough juice at the time and could've screwed up the signals.. but after changing the alternator and charging the battery a bit, the CEL light is still on! I can't seem to erase the code by driving above 11KM/h with the plugs connected! Does this mean the solenoids are actually damaged and needs replacing?????

Thanks in advance :)

Diag check is BLACK plugs ONLY

Clear memory Black together and green together then drive over 11Km/h

When the plug that goes into the black box mount on the drivers side strut tower

That many unclearable codes MUST be linked

See this before with black box disconnected

61 Inhalation valve solenoid

62 Exhaust valve solenoid (vacuum)

65 Differential pressure sensor

67 Exhaust valve solenoid (+ve pressure)

yup

Thanks for the replies :)

Hm.. really?? 3 solenoids, 1 sensor and a alternator at once??

hm.. also I do have ZS Sequential controller and I didn't have it connected at the time (after replacing the alternator) and while I was driving I wasn't giving any boost as well.. maybe I should?

Did you check the black box of doom? Couold be a simple vacum hose not hooked up.

Also, I've had two of those codes when the bullet connectors for my ZS seq. Controller shorted out. How do you have it 'disconnected'?

hm.. what is the black box of doom? I had the controller "disconnected" by just disconnecting the plug between the short controller cable and the loom that connects to the ECU

Re-check your ZS wiring, you get all sorts of codes when that's wired wrong. Be pedantic about it.

If that's not it, i have a stack of solenoids left over from the conversion should one be broken. They're from a BG though.

Ok thanks :) I'll double check the wiring and make sure nothing is shorted.

Hey guys, thanks for all ur help~

LOL it was the zerosports sequential controller being disconnected... I should've known as some of the wires hacked up would be open circuit without the controller :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
