v7 STI Revs not dropping between gear changes...?

Hey,

Just got the new car. Slight problem: The revs arent dropping between gear changes ??? ???

So Id be in 2nd take it to 5000rpm, clutch in to change and the revs would stay at 5000rpm (usually Id expect them to drop as soon as I press the clutch) . The car is pretty stock except for what looks like an HKS blow off valve.

Any help would be much appreciated...

i think your bov may be holding open, pull it off and check if it leaks.

I had this problem with my car a while ago... turned out to be a faulty TPS (throttle Position Sensor). I replaced it with a used one and its perfect again.

bro it wyud be best to take it to the dealers/warrenty ppl to sort it as sometimes if someone else tries to sort stuff and other things happen in the future they can get iffy abt paying out ...

does the blow off sound? i mean when u change gears etc, does it make any noise?
